That’s not a tear. That’s the little notch that’s on the original Kirk.
That’s good to know it is intentional, I thought it might have been a mistake
It’s on all the 75K/98 masks too. As far as I know.

To answer the questions, yes it’s around 24inches (very nice fit) and there’s no slit in the neck, it’s intentional.

This mask really comes to life when worn. Amazing stuff! Love the lighting on the shots too
