and on a side note…why was this sculpt retooled of the SLE and not the original?
Doesnt make sense,the original KH is far superior,no need for even retooling,hell,you can sell just blanks at 750 of that

Hahaha i can never afford 750 or even want to pay that for latex and hair. It may be a decent price for it, but i think that insane. Cant wait to see finished pics for me to droool over knowing i cant get the mask.

Apparently it was part of the deal Dick made with Ken when he bought the KH’s (KH/DW ans SLE) molds from him. Since Ken wasn’t going to be involved in the project some changes had to be made to the sculpt in order for the masks to be sold.
$750 steep?..I agree. The world is very different than it was a few years ago. The economy is in the shitter and most people dont have the disposable income they did even 5 years ago. Buying/selling Myers masks has also vastly changed. Once you could easily buy sell trade…now its forced underground. Trancas threatening all the boards so no one can openly do business. Ebay pounces on auctions, etc. Plus I dont see the masks holding value like they used to. I’ve seen more top shelf pieces sell for fractions of sell vlaue. Remember when a great Warlock or Psycho could easily fetch $600 plus in the classifieds?
The blank pulls looked promising.
$750 is peanuts compared to the 4k plus second hand market value of the original KH(select early copies)
Listen,to the guys flaming Dick Warlock,I think it’s unnecessary.To call the man greedy or imply that he is a bloodsucker is off the mark by miles.Like some guys have pointed out,it is a split project with profit being divided,plus the fact that it is derived from what is probably the most sought after mask in the hobby.Most guys will never have the chance to own an original run KH/DW OR an SLE for that matter.Those masks sell fro $1500-$4000 easily.Like Erik pointed out,$750 is a drop in the bucket compared to the after market value of the KH’s and SLE’s.The fact remains that it is the old practice of supply and demand.Here’s what it costs,you want it,you buy it.You don’t want it?Don’t but it.Very simple concept.I personally would have to see what the finished product looks like.To be honest,if it is the size of an SLE and similar in features,I will not be even considering grabbing one.If it looks like an original run KH and is the same size,I am certainly grabbing one…no matter what.There are plenty of masks that are sold that get up to the 1K and 2K range and people pay it.Paying those prices are not for everyone and some people think it’s crazy,others do not.The average Myers or Kirk replica sells for close to $400.This DW mask was surely an expensive purchase for Mr. Warlock.What do you think Ken Hertlein wanted for that master? 
So,you cannot judge the price of the mask without seeing it or knowing what went into making the deal happen.
I do not want to be the one to come off judgmental.Everyone is entitled to their opinion.However,I have hung out with Dick Warlock on two separate occasions for an extensive conversation or ten.The man is as sweet of a human being as you could ever meet and the most genuine,fan-friendly guy.To boot,he’s also a fan,just like us!So,I am definitely not cool with anything derogatory being said about the man.Definitely not cool.
In conclusion…if you don’t like the price,DON’T BUY IT!!

This is indeed a very interesting thread. I’m glad that everyone has been able to state their opinions without a fight breaking out and the thread getting locked. When I first heard about this project the word “affordable” was mentioned but if this turns out to be the price then thats not the case. I based my “greed” joke on the following idea, If you sell 1 mask for $100 or 10 masks for $10 each don’t you end up with the same amount of money in the end? Only difference is that at $10 you’ve given more people a chance to get their hands on it. Though high I don’t think the price is extremely out of line. I would just like for it to be more in the price range of you average fan/collector. Of course the quality would suffer if it was priced lower and they had to crank out a ton of them so I agree with those who stated that in the end you’ll get what you paid for. I just wanted to say a little more than a goofy 1 liner about it so thanks for reading. Now where are these pictures already
To be honest if i had 750 to spare i would buy it, but i dont so i’ll just have to droooooooool over it for now

I, for one, dont care how good the mask looks, it’s not worth $700. The H78’s, 75K’s, and Creep’s have pleased tons of people and acquired the perfect H1 look. I see no reason to pay that much money for just another H1 mask!

Also,to be fair,I was hoping the price would be in the $300-$400 range,especially if they are not limited.However,if it is an amazing piece,for $750 I wouldn’t hesitate.Nor would MANY other members.It’s all about what works for YOU.
I agree. There have been pieces that cost FAR more money and people have paid it. I doubt he will have trouble selling them if it is as good as we are expecting. It’s a lot of money when you look at the economy these days which is why I think people are responding this way. But when it comes to collecting top of the line Myers it’s really not out of hand if you ask me. Also to my knowledge Dick hasn’t announced this as the official price anyhow so we need to wait and see if that’s the final price or if there will be different versions, etc. They did say there will be “extras” included, which is something else we need to consider. When a mask of this magnitude is announced there have ALWAYS been varying opinions so this response is really nothing new.

Absolutely,100%.I am really happy that you mentioned the fact that the price has not been announced officially.That was a point I meant to make earlier.There is actually still no real official news released.No pictures,price,details.So,I think it’s a good idea that we wait and see.
I’ve kept out of this because…well, because most anything I would say has already been said - no sense in me being a copycat 
I only say that I was hoping for the same thing - but hey, Mr. Warlock has the right to do what he will. I probably won’t be able to get in on the 1st run, but hey - I’ll get one eventually. And there really is no need to be upset with Mr. Warlock - as already stated (here I go copycatting 
) the official details are yet to be released…so I’ll keep my fingers crossed
