This just makes me sad. There was a time when I considered this dude a close friend, and he, derek, justin, and myself were all really tight and all supported each other (although there has always been some uneasy tension between terry and justin for reasons that are now glaringly clear). Since I’ve dropped off the scene for the better part of a decade and inevitably lost touch with these guys, I’ve heard rumblings about terry and didn’t want to believe them. But derek is rock solid, and for him to even allow people to bash the hell out of terry on his site and call him a scumbag is all I need to know.
If half of what I’ve heard is true, he’s (terry) sitting on a ton of my original artwork that I gave him for free and I want it back!!!
That said, I used to have a great biz and personal relationship with terry and loved his masks. I was the one who named his nemesis mask, and I have a warlock that I love. A little less now, though, sadly.
I understand completely bro. I personally like the shape and face of the creep. I seen a lot of pure white paint job which looks good but I do like the color/ detail of the warlock. I like all the define cheeks etc if u know what I mean
Not really sure why these 2 masks are being compared, one is an H1 and the other is an H2. Are we talking quality of the mask? Accuracy comparison to their respective film versions? Not sure what to make of this poll.
I’m a far bigger fan of the H2 look so as nice a mask as the creep is I’m going with any accurate H2 mask (Warlock, Nag, Shat, MCS, what have you) over any H1, including a Creep.
The creep is not just an H1 mask. It can pull off H2 even better than it can H1. The creep isn’t even in my top 10 favorite masks but even I’ll admit that it pulls off both quite well.
Do remember that the H1/H2 Mask was the same one. Just because they look different doesn’t make them differently completely. Depends on the wearer.
These pics speak for themselves. Would you still like to tell me that the Creep is just an H1?
Photo creds to K.

“Can” being the operative word. The Warlock doesn’t need to fit any certain way to look like an H2, that’s the point of the mask. Nothing about the Creep as-is has ever given me an H2 vibe. I know the mask is good, but we’re reaching if we’re going to try to compare its looks H2-wise to the Warlock.
Those pics are very good albeit I think they are not quite as dead-on as people make them out to be; they don’t quite capture the ominous features the Warlock stretch highlights, whereas the Warlock does. And IIRC those pics are from a custom job on a Creep, are they not? But by default it looks like an H1. The Warlock always looks like an H2, which is kinda why it’s an H2 mask, lol.
The warlock doesn’t pull off H2 accurately. Maybe it did in 07, but not nearly as much now. Most of the time it looks like what it is, a bloated recast.
It’s all the way it’s worn. Of course you’re not going to get H2 vibes from a Creep unless it’s being worn H2 style. Do you get H2 vibes from this photo of the hero?
No, because it’s not being distorted by a wide head or stuffing.
If a mask can’t pull off both looks then it is not “accurate” in any sense of the word. Also, go back and check the post. Photos should be working now.
I saw you updated the post so I did mine as well, so you can check out my response. We simply disagree. I don’t get a strong enough H2 vibe from those photos and I think the Warlock pulls off the H2 look better than almost any mask I’ve ever seen (Thw Warlock gets all the little ominous details just right). Shrug
An H2 mask obviously is more an H2 mask than an H1 mask that can look like an H2. Not sure what showing a pic of a mask that is being laid flat is supposed to accomplish, but anyway.
I read your response. Yes, we do disagree, that much is obvious.
It’s not that an H2 Mask is more than an H1 mask that can pull off H2, it’s that an accurate mask is in between. There is no one or the other. There is no H2 mask, there is no H1 mask. It’s the same mask being worn differently. The point is going completely over your head. Any good H2 mask is going to look like “default” H1 mask, because that’s what it is. In H1, when Moran is wearing it, this is the “default” mask shape/features. In H2 it is being distorted.
As for what showing the mask flat accomplishes, it’s really very simple. When it’s on Dick’s hand in the photo I posted above, that shows what a true H2 should look like. A dirtier H1.
The bar Terry set has been trumped time and time again. If you can provide me with just as accurate shots of a warlock then we could come to some agreement, but for some reason I don’t see that happening.
As for the comparison being a reach, if it was there would not be a 6 page discussion on it.
I can admit there are times where the Warlock looks good, but it can be beat by other masks that pull off both looks any day.
Yes, but in addition to the mask being stretched out in a unique manner there are also various distinctive markings, discoloration and features the mask had distinctively had during the filming of H2. The Warlock is made to look exactly like this, the stretch taken into account. Although it may be the same mask it looks distinctly different in H2. If it didn’t, none of us would make a distinction between the two. You know all this already.
I get the point, but I’m making one as well. If your response to my sort of comment is merely to say that it’s the same mask, then why does anyone distinguish H1 from H2 at all on this forum? Why distinguish Warlock from Castle? There’s a world of difference in how the two masks (Creep and Warlock) look, stretch or no stretch on the Creep. I’ve certainly never seen any picture that makes the Creep look just like the Warlock.
The Warlock is designed to look distinguished, exactly as Dick had appeared in the masks in H2, the Creep is not. My point is just as simple as yours.
Any single mask I have ever seen that is designed to have the H2 look accurately and authentically simply suits my fancy better than any mask that looks like the “standard” or “Castle” look.
Ok, I apologize I must of missed that. I thought there was more to it than that. Those pics are the only instance I’ve ever seen of a Creep looking anything remotely like the Warlock look from H2.
