Hi gang, pulled the trigger on a 2018 NO Creep and aside from requesting that he not use the reddish camel hair that I’ve seen in recent copies is there anything that has been significantly different? Just reaching out to recent buyers and their overall experience. Would love to hear what they would have changed. Or not at all;) thanks!
I’d like to know more too about that from the ones here who have more knowledge about the classic Creep, anyway did Justin tell you that he’s gonna put the classic blackish mohair still for 320 bucks?
Ordered one in August. Got it in October. No complaints whatsoever. Hair is blondish. Not a huge fan of the big circular eyecuts but it doesnt really bother me alot
As I already posted in another thread I really like the Creep in this video, the owner claims to be a 2018 but here it has the right hair color and quality it seems, not sure about the crease but I think it looks great, and the eye cuts are also correct I think.
I am really glad I came across this post. I wanted to order a Creep myself but I thought I would check here real quick. Do I just order directly from the Nightowl site? I know it gives you the option to pay instantly, but I just wanted to make sure that’s the best way to order one? I thought I read somewhere that I had to email Justin prior to ordering?
This one looks good, I really have no clue why some have the camel hair and some have the right mohair despite all being 2018s, I think the best thing to do at this point is tell Justin you want it with dark mohair and show him one of these pictures as a sample.
I appreciate the reply. Thanks again. I did message Justin via Instagram a few weeks ago but I never heard back from him. Maybe I will look for an email to send to.
The crease is in the original Hero mask, but I could go either way with it. The NAG 75K doesn’t have it, and I don’t mind at all. I suppose the lack of crease would make for a better Kirk replica, and you can always add it in by sticking the forehead of the mask under a dictionary for a bit. Still, I feel like the lack of the crease makes the mask look less unique somehow. Justin was always one of the very few artists to actually add this detail to his sculpts.
I know it’s there, but it’s subtle most of the time, only prominent in certain lighting and angles. Whereas if it’s sculpted in it’s pretty much aways visible, which is why I wasn’t personally a fan of it.
Yeah the mask looks great but it’s hard to get exactly what you want when the communication is so difficult, that’s what is also putting me off along with the camel hair…
