Painted my TOTS 2018 mask pics

1000000000000000000 Hero identicle.

Looks amazing. Curious, what kind of paint did you use? I’m going try to convert mine myself once I get it

WOW! The images of your repainted TOTS have me more excited than the official photos of it. You can actually see just how much it resembles the original mask and it is amazing! Thank you for sharing :drinkers:

Wow awsome :open_mouth::open_mouth:
I think i will contact u in the futur
Are u going to fix the hair too ?

Could you take some worn pictures?

Unreal. Glad you’ll be doing mine. It definitely increases my excitement level.

Awesome! I plan to touch mine up a little bit too. I touched up the TOTs Halloween 2 one I got, to get rid of the flesh on the nose and it turned out great. Really Excited to get mine now!

Yes, once the mohair arrives I’m going to alter the hair

Can’t wait to see it finished. This mask has really grown on me.

so how many people are on the waiting list with you for an overhaul? lol
pics look awesome

The nice thing is that it’s $60. So if you manage to ruin it, worst case scenario you’re out $60. Compared to $300 to $400 I think that’s pretty good. They almost encourage you to do what you want with it, like their Kirk.

Yup I should of waited for the prototype. They are a lot diff than the production.

Where can i order the prototype, and what is the difference between the proto and the Production type ?

You can’t get the prototype anymore. Only 150 were made and they all sold at a con. The only difference is matted hair and a little better paint

Prototype hair was sprayed with latex. The paint did look killer tho, also they were signed inside.

Would you be willing to detail some of your process?

I intend to rehaul my own mask - but have zero experience doing so.

Do you have a before shot to compare?

There really is almost nothing separating the prototype and the production copies. As has been pointed out, besides the signatures, matted hair and the slight paint differences there is nothing between them at all. They are the same exact sculpt, latex thickness, etc. If you don’t end up liking your production copy you can send it to somebody or overhaul it yourself but it will exceed your expectations if you think it will be far inferior to the protos.

Does anyone know how you would do that with latex? That sounds much more effective than hairspray.
