Pics of the day---- 09/25/12 ------------

Single coil badassery. They’re brutally honest. If you make a mistake, they’ll let you know, but if you do good, they’ll really let you know too. I got a Strat with Texas Special pick ups. Incredibly hard to master, but it makes it funner that way.

Not to knock Les Pauls, as I’ve had those too, but Strats just do it for me.

You guys are on crack    strats please…jk. It’s all about what you play and what’s your preference.

 Hey i,m backing out of this now    I,v been chasing tone for 25 years and i,m not gonna argue what works for you and Jimmy Page is my Fav guitar man! That being said,A Strat set up ''Properly with the right Lindy Fralin pickups with the metal tele base plate under the bridge pickup is Just hard to beat! I still own SG,s and a Gretsch with TV Jones power trons but just grown to B a single coil guy and i,v tried every pickup from Van Zant Lollar, Fralin, Antiquity,EVH limited to 100 pieces Seymour duncan and their cool through a raging Marshall on 10 but i,m building Tweed Fender circuits so we’ll agree to disagree and It sounds like the 3 of us have plenty to get drunk and talk about    PS Well said, It,s 100% in the hands or fingers  of the player 100% I never use a pick and I get a totally different sound but have this Angus Young style  I can’t escape it

I had to make a compromise.

Are those P90,s in a Humbucker size pickup bracket? I have P90,s in my 69 sg! Very percussive and dynamic, great pickups.

They are! They’re Seymour Duncan Phat Cats. I love P90s, you should post some pics of that SG.
