My little one is still too young to take out trick or treating; so I will just hand out candy as either part 3 Jason or as part 5 Jason/Roy. The Hocks are convenient to put on when someone comes to the door and I shave my head so no need for a hot latex good on in the house.
Nope, of course not. But I’m kind of the unofficial mascot and Kenny lets me walk around on the roof and stand around inside his place. I usually help him set up the day before as well.
It’s a fun party. He usually gets a horror movie guest, like last year he had Kip Weeks, which was cool. And he puts up a giant movie screen to show 80’s slashers. A food truck or two, and he gives tours of his house.
Watch horror movies all month long. I’m a huge fan of AMC Fear Fest. I’ll watch H1 and 2 the night of Halloween for sure, even though I’ll have already seen them a few times that month.
It is a lot of fun. I’m in costume for about 2-4 hours though and I try to stay in character… so it’s a workout too haha
I usually take everything off and socialize a bit after but I’m paranoid about leaving my gear in my car.
I plan on getting my first mask and going as H2 Myers. I’ll pass out candy while playing the H2 soundtrack for a little bit then I’ll walk around town.
I’m going as Captain Beefheart this year and my buddy is going as John Popper from Blues Traveller (whom he looks just like ).
My wife will be going as the aforementioned friend (but he doesn’t know yet, haha).
The funny thing is, you can be wearing Spencer’s coveralls and a 20 dollar mask from the annual Halloween store and on the street/club/bar…they still freak out, like omg, Michael Myers.
Im sure they will still think you’re michael either way, but from my expirience i scared manny manny more people and creeped them out using a an indie made mask than a mass produced mask, also i mainly strive for screen accuracy to fulfill my needs, not for other peoples
