Nice, Jay! You got one! I know you’ve been looking for a little bit. Congrats!
Thanks bud! ![]()
did some labeling and test fitting for the scales, once I get some epoxy I’ll get the stressful part done, which is all the gluing, after that I’ll be speeding through the final process

Finally found some nice old used Big Macs in my size and without a snap button for free basically. Color is that very unique olivewood. I may try to dye them some, but I think they go along well with my JC Nag Shape78. Sure the flap pocket isn’t perfect, and they have a hammer loop, but man does this color kick some butt
. Included dark and light shots to show how much the color changes. (Taken with an iPhone 12 Pro Max)
Man, this is ironic.
I was searching the archive last night for posts about Big Macs.
First off, CONGRATS on the score, uncle! The Big Macs are a REALLY REALLY good Myers coverall. You got yourself a GREAT suit!
Secondly, I just found and purchased a Big Mac coverall in my size, too! I have been looking for a coverall that can take the place of my tex-greens for photos and events. I have too much money into my Sears coveralls to be wearing them to functions and such. I would hate to see them wrecked, you know? Wear them to the movie theater and some kid spills his red slushie all over them, or they get caught on a bit of broken chair and rip when I stand up… bleh. No thanks.
Anyway, I’ve been thinking about a second coverall that I can have fun in. It’s hard to find my dimensions, though. Add on top of that I really wanted a coverall with the button and in a color that is really close to tex-green… it was a tough find.
And then bang! Just like that, they were on eBay. They’re 100% NOS. Still in the original plastic wrap and cardboard sleeve. They were my exact size, and they are a color I have never seen before. It was hard for me to get a good read on the color through the plastic wrap so I asked the seller to open them up and snap a photo. To my surprise, he did… and in his message said, “My wife thinks they’re kind of blue, but I think they’re sort of grey.” I knew right then I had to get them. If they’re playing tricks on the eyes like that fresh out of the bag they were sealed in from the factory, they have to be close to tex-green, right?
They were dropped off at my place last night. I took them out of the packaging, unfolded them… man, they came from the factory SUPER STARCHED… and held them next to my tex-greens. The color is AWESOME… it is waaay closer to the Sears than I ever thought I would find. I’m going to take pictures later when the sun comes up. They are slightly more blue than the tex-greens… but they are so close I think I might start calling them my tex-blue Big Macs.
Thanks man! stoked for your score as well. ive been so obsessed about sourcing every single mask I love, ive never really bothered with coveralls. that’s not to say I dont wear them, but sort of like your logic with the expensive sears coveralls, all my h1 masks are $1000+ and I dont really want to wear those. so I have mostly stuck to cosplaying h40/kills as I dont have nearly the cash invested in those masks, and workrites were no problem to track down. though this year I wanted to mix it up and maybe go out in an h1! obviously trying to find a pair of screen accurate sears like yours isn’t probable, especially for a good price, and while creepy customs is a killer little start up company, i wasn’t interested in the price tag when I felt confident I could find SOMETHING close to tex green and modify it. I cant believe this color is so close and so common. there are actually a few olivewood Big Macs still on ebay for under 40 bucks but theyre either too HUGE or way too small. though I will likely get a couple for extra material to sew. doing a pocket modification isn’t hard, also sourcing the right button isn’t either(these have a huge brass button that says BIG MAC). just glad I dont have to deal with converting from a snap button. that’s probably the most annoying thing ive discovered about old sears stuff, a lot of the colors are really close to tex green but basically every sears/roebucks is snap button. it’s not that hard to modify but id rather start on a pair that doesn’t have one. I will also remove any excess pockets on these too. though I basically have no interest now in finding sears coveralls since the color of this is so close. not tex green but very very close!
Thanks for this comment I went to eBay and purchased one of the Big Mac Olivewood listings, the seller seems reliable… and it supposedly is arriving within 4-5 days! I can’t thank you enough for this comment, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day… I love this community.

Big Macs are great alternatives to the Sears Tradewear! I remember before 2018, this community believed that Big Macs were the brands used for H1 given someone on set said majority of the costumes were bought from JC Penny.
I had Big Macs and they rocked! Congrats on the purchase! ![]()
Freddy vs Jason! Sent the Freddy bust to Lewis Frye for a repaint and new glass eyes given the older paint is falling apart a bit, will post some updates!
