hey all just a quick question i have made 2 masks up to now,
right now iv just about finished my jason bust/display mask now normally i give the clay slulpt 1 thin coat
of KRYLON clear coat spray before putting the plaster onto it making the mold,
do i NEED to spray it will it be ok to just put the plaster on the clay without spraying it please help??
iv heard you can just just make the mold without spraying the sculpt but i need to be sure cause it took me agesss to do
allso im using oil based Klean clay 
I would NEVER skimp on the details. And to be safe not only should you spray it with a few coats of crystal clear coat, you should also spray it with dulling spray as well because ultracal slides right off of a sculpture that is sprayed with only crylon crystal clear. especially if the sculpture has alot of non-pourus smooth spots. whats happens if i dont spray it it should still work houldent it?
is there anything diffrent i can use to krylon? its just that the shop i used to get it
from here in the uk they closed down and i have to get it online now plus its expensive for a tiny tin of it
any ideas would it still work without spraying it? will will happen
