Rehauled TOTS Boogeyman - Paint beginning to crack

Howdy all,
I recently had my TOTS Boogeyman rehauled by a YouTuber somewhat known in the mask/horror space. I paid $250 USD for the rehaul and had pretty high hopes for that price. Once I received the mask back, I was absolutely thrilled with the result. It looks incredible - though there is a catch. When watching the video this YouTuber made of the rehaul process, it appears they may have neglected to mix their paint in a manner suitable for a latex mask - e.g. mixing acrylic with liquid latex or something to that effect. As a result, I’m now noticing small cracks beginning to appear in the paintwork. I’m pretty gutted, especially for what I paid - my question to you all is, can I retroactively save the mask from deteriorating? Is there a way to prevent the paint from falling apart? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there, YOU will be able to salvage your mask, if you’re feeling bold and want to give it a whirl (go for it, YOU can do this!) First start by masking off the hair like the great Tommy Lee Wallace did back in the day, then from a distance give it a gentle spray with some Krylon appliance white or whatever brand white is available at your local HomeDepot or wherever you buy your supplies, then finish off the same way with white plasti-dip spray paint, clear coat is optional as well as other colors like flesh tones; before you paint your mask, practice on something until you get the hang of it, you don’t want drips or runs or smears on your mask; remember to wear your protective equipment while spray-painting, don’t breathe in the fumes, don’t get it on yourself, especially in your eyes or mouth, stay safe and have fun, remember to post your before and after pictures! :jack_o_lantern:
