I think this is a good thing so long as threads are clearly marked. Most of the threads in the RZ section seemed to be people asking the same question on where to buy a mask from.
My only other suggestion would be to keep one section for masks and collectibles and another for movie speculation, fan fiction and so on.
Agree as well. How hard is it to scroll past a thread containing a Zombie related post as opposed to the bulls$&@t pics of the day crap. This site has gone down hill since I joined in August 2005 (I lurked but didn’t post for 2 years due to post whores and bullying so I had to join again, before any Newbies question my membership). I hate how a new guy will post a pic and get 300 views and no replies but a long time member will post pics and get dozens of replies because he/she is part of THE CLUB. This site was so good from 2005-2009 then all of a sudden we got teenage members who got a postal count in the thousands within 6 months and little cliques started. People wonder why this site is dead…It never was like this from 2005-2009. This site was solid. We just got a lot of cancerous member who destroyed it. Anyone wonder why Warlock, Eyes, PuckFace, Nils, Vanilla Ice-cream, Duel Truck Driver and countless others who have been member pre 2007 who kept this board alive, don’t post anymore? If you don’t know I ain’t telling you. Those guys were awesome and now all we are left with is hacks. This board never had quiet periods for half a year like it does now, just waiting for Halloween to come each October for the board start up again.
It’s just a crying shame what those teenage POST WHORES did to this place and tried to OWN this place. And those “LIARS” know who they are and what they did.

What wasnt clear about my post? Basically, if you like the remakes, everyone puts you in an inferior category. This whole website has turned into nothing but “My SHAT/CREEP done up by …” anything other than that is neglected.
Several good points but it’s not just one thing or another being the reason there are less posts in the forum. Many of those members mentioned above as leaving this site were actually members who lost interest in collecting masks and moved on to other hobbies, started families or had other life changes. Sure, the “clique” situation could be a contributing factor and a younger audience could be a part of it. The hobby itself has also changed drastically - we now have $50 masks that are more accurate than some previously $200+ replicas.
However, the Facebook (and social media) element is the largest contributor in my honest opinion. The facebook group has 7500+ members. We actually have more people posting, just not all in the same place anymore. Ideally, yes it would be better to have more of it all going on right here on the site but that’s not really forward thinking with the way Facebook has become such a priority for hundreds of millions of people. Sure, there are less posts in the forum but people are spread into different websites but still connected to Michael-Myers.net in some way. Traffic to the site as a whole has actually increased this year when compared to 2013.

My other suggestion for the site is to rename the “General” section to something more appropriate like “The masks of Halloween franchise” or something. I know when I first joined the site I assumed general meant that people were talking about anything and everything and as a result I pretty much neglected to look at it for a long while. It’s not a big deal once you know but it’s definitely misleading initially.
Yea I would rename the part of the forum which would stand out more, because he even I did not think general discussion was the original Myers collection until only a few weeks ago lol
