Who cut the eyes and painted that 75?

Kirk Magnum:I don’t understand why everyone thinks this new KH is too small. Here is a VERY old pic of my 75 next to a DW/KH; both are sitting on paper towel rolls for this shot. You can see that the DW/KH is way bigger than a 75.

I replied to this earlier but it got deleted somehow lol. I think it came that way but I could be wrong but IDK. Here’s a link to a page with more information about the mask specifically.

“A collector Dante Renta was visiting Don Post, Jr. “around 1980” when Don “reached into a box of them” and presented it to Dante. It’s definitely an original Kirk done up as Myers. Dante brought it over to his fellow collector friend Guy Thorpe to show him, Guy got to try it on while Dante wore Guy’s original Kirk for comparison (see second photo). Guy ended up taking it off Dante’s hands and added it to his collection (see third photo). It was eventually sold to another collector Billy Kirkus who sent it back to Don Post Studios for a redo. Billy later sent it to Justin Mabry to clay-press it which became the basis for many replica Myers masks. Justin then had Billy’s Kirk redone for him. It was foam-filled and he later sold it. Bryan Hoffman eventually ended up with it. Bryan removed the foam and added new latex to the eyes so he could have it completely redone as Capt. Kirk. It now resides in a private collection. It can be seen in this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jcB19Vh3k9s”

Rather that than make a new thread. Less clutter.

Just thought I’d let him know since he was asking about the mask, not about the post itself. Sorry
