Silent Rage 2.0 #2 NEW SCORE

I just got this guy in the mail today from member gmon148 who was nice enough to do a trade. This is my first part one Myers mask (not counting the cheap DonPost mask from 2006-8) and I’m extremely happy with it. The paint job on it looks super nice and has great dark highlights which remind me a little of the part 8 mask. I’m very happy with the hair on this one too which looks to be well glued with a nice and neat hairline. The mask is also extremely thick as you should be able to see in one of the photos below, so I’m not sure how comfortable it’d be to wear but it makes a perfect display mask. The other thing is there’s no lip cut which isn’t a big deal but worth noting.
Anyways, here’s some pictures:

Very nice copy!
The SR makes a mean Myers!

Wow…
You scored a home run there Dave
Congrats mate

Holy crap is that thing thick. :astonished: Cool mask and congrats on your first H1 score.

Good lord, that is a thick pull!

Dang that’s a sweet looking copy!

Thanks for all the comments guys. If the real Myers had this mask he could kill people just by throwing the thing at them

I may take some worn shots today if it fits and maybe even a video so stay tuned

Looks very cool; I see a resemblance to the Halloween 4 cover in the first picture.

Thick enough to take a bullet!

Congrats! Very Nice! I own a couple of Silent Rages and Absolutely Love them! Corey did a Great job on this!   Bob

Thanks mate  What’s the history behind these guys anyway? I can’t find much info on them.

I am the artist that created the Silent Rage 2.0. What would you like to know about it?

Thanks for stopping by

I was just curious as the whether it’s an original sculpt (like from the ground up) or based off another mask. What the run number of these masks is eg, limited or ongoing etc.

I love this guy. He looks great and I’ll hopefully be able to keep it in my collection for many more years to come.

I am glad you like it. Silent Rage 2.0 is an original sculpt. I used the small Sean Clark Myers as my primary reference as well as several different pics of the Hero, Shatner, etc. I am not sure of the exact # I made. I believe there are no more than 10 floating around.

2 of those 10 are in my possession. One I wear on Halloween and the other needs to be stripped and repainted.

More than likely there won’t be any other masks to come from the original run. The mold has too many air pockets. I do have 2 urethane masters in case I decide to make another mold. Not sure if or when that may happen.

Almost as soon as I finished the SR 2.0 I noticed some things that I thought I could improve on and make more accurate so I started a new sculpt. The sculpt has been sitting in the back room for a while untouched. The Myers mask market is pretty flooded right now and there are so many great masks I am not sure I could improve on what is already out there. With that said if I ever finish it I will post on the pics here.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Corey

Oh man, I remember wanting one of these so bad due to their likeness to the DB2, but if I recall he made a few copies and hasn’t been making them since :frowning: Which is good news for you because they are pretty rare

Killer looking mask! The only other mask I’ve seen that’s as thick as this one is my “He’s Back” hood from Erich Lubatti and it’s impossible to get on. You could easily beat someone to death with it

Thank you for all that wonderful info. I always enjoy hearing the history behind a mask. This one turned out great. If you do ever get around to the 3.0 (assuming you call it that) do post pictures here
It’s always exciting being part of a small run haha.

@mtlongy; Thanks mate  It’s always nice to know you have a rare mask haha. It’s also surprising as I had no idea till today! I’m not familiar with the DB2 bit I’ve always liked the dark tones on this one

@nowonmai; Yeah, thick masks can be a b!tch to wear. I can’t remember if I’ve tried this one on as it’s been a display mask since I got it. I think thick mask are less prone to rot so that’s always a good thing  And yes, you could probably beat your enimies down with it too. So it’s both a mask and a weapon

FYI - the paint job on that mask is not cometely original. Someone added the dark paint to the hairline, eyebrows, inside the eyes, and the smudge on left side of the head.
