I’m sure it’s somewhere else on the forum but I didn’t find it. I’m curious what size the H1 Myers mask was and what currently available H1 mask matches that size and also the thick or thinness of the original pull. Thanks!
The original kirks were about 23-24 inches in size (wide range), but most believe the hero was around 23.5

Thanks for the quick reply! Any idea which masks match that size? I’m told The Creep is around that size. Also, it seems that most replica masks are a thicker pull than the original, am I wrong about that?
I’ve recently been talking to Mark Roberts (owner of the Hero) about final questions for the last part of the interview. We should have a definitive answer on the size of the Hero soon although 23.5-24 sounds about right.
Check out the thread where Benny interviews Mark Roberts. He says the thing most get wrong about the mask is the thickness. That is thicker than most people think.
Awesome, Benny! I’m supposed to chat to him in the future and I can only imagine how enlightening that would be!

Awesome, I look forward to it!
Old thread, but did we ever get this info?
You know in retrospect, I wonder if there’s an substantial alteration that time has had on the size of the latex; whether the latex shrunk or bloated from deterioration enough to make a sizeable impact. The pliability of latex makes me wonder if it would act like a sponge. I know that the foam latex used in the Jurassic Park T. rex acted like a sponge, and could in fact double the weight of the skin on the internal mechanics, which caused them to spasm, and in one case, break down completely. I know that, as been stated before, the Kirks were a bit inconstant in sizing. I have an image showing dimensions of various DPS Kirk masks, though how these measurements were taken, I do not know.
Also the fact that the latex DPS used in those old masks was especially pliable, and effectively conformed to the wearer’s face (elongated on Castle, squared on TLW, and round on Dick Warlock), it makes me wonder if calipers would be more or less effective of a measuring tool than, say, a tailor’s measuring tape.
I hope we still get tyhis answered, as well as the last of the pictures that were talked about, almost 5 years ago now
