“Add me to the list” is probably being used by most as a figure of speech, just expressing that they want a copy and are a potential buyer. Just like “put me down for one”. I don’t think anyone actually thinks he’s got a pen and paper keeping a list

I wouldn’t be surprised if he used a rendering software combined with the video of the somnabulist’s sculpt to make a figure, then press it in wed. Niks history has always been questionable, especially with the origins of his masks.

I noticed something that really sets Somnam apart with his mask sculpt…he didn’t help steal an original 75 kirk and recast it and than make $20k plus from those recasts.
Did nik originally steal and recast to make his early masks??
Just move forward…nothing can be done about it…to many new people in and out of this hobby to keep tabs on the bullshit…Nik is the man and nothing is gonna change that …so make your mask and keeping moving forward. Who cares what he does

I think the bigger you are you get away with more. A new artist would get torn a new one. Nag has some great masks and no one else is putting things out like him. If there were other artist I think it would be different. Don’t see Justin doing this stuff

I don’t understand why everyone is so surprised and outraged by this? This is exactly how markets work. Granted, I don’t know the entire back story with Nik and I’m quite surprised by it honestly. Yet, people post their NAG masks all the time on here and I see nothing but praise and people outright worshiping Nik’s masks with no mention of his shady stuff in the past aparantly. Yet anytime a CGP mask is posted there’s always multiple posts bashing Terry for what he did (which I do not condone).
Nik isn’t stealing anything…unless he literally broke into this guys house and took the clay mold. I fully anticipate being called a NAG sycophant for even semi defending him but seriously…if this is the attitude artist have towards each other…then who in their right mind would bother sculpting a new Myers mask? I’ve thought about trying my hand at sculpting a Myers mold, but if this is the attitude everyone has, it’s not even worth it. How many different looks can we really get from a H1 mold…seriously? It’s either going to look like a Kirk or a Castle stretch. So basically everyone is stealing from everyone else.
Plus this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Castle stretch mask. What about the one James Grimm is selling? Granted, someone else sculpted it, but where is the outrage about that? One could make the accusation that the OP stole that idea. I’m not going to do that because that is ludicrous.
Let’s all calm down and have a little perspective. In the end, it’s up to you which mask your going to buy. Pretty sure the OP will do just fine with this sculpt. It is literally THE BEST H1 sculpt I have ever seen. I would love to get my hands on it. If you still think Nik is acting shady…then don’t buy from him. It’s literally that simple. Remember, competition is good. We as the consumers win because we have at least 4 Castle stretch masks to choose from. The artists win because competition forces them to better their skills and make a better mold for us to consume. In the end, the customer decides which artist is superior.
That’s because no one else with the time has a kirk casting to endlessly retool and recast and release 19,000 versions of Hopefully someone will at some point though!

Totally get everything your saying. Companies do it all the time. But let’s look at it like a shoe company. You have a big shoe maker and a little guy comes up and makes a Nike shoe with the Nike stripe etc, the big company sees it and copy’s the exact same shoe down to the lines and act like you thought of the design yourself
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and say there’s a chance Nik might not give a shit what the Somnambulist has to say. But I think it’s abundantly clear that Nik cares what the Somnambulist does. That’s why Nik has almost immediately released two blatant attempts at copying Somnambulist’s sculpture.
Those who stick up for Nik have every right to have his back. But to suggest that Nik doesn’t care or isn’t threatened? That’s just ignorant. The evidence is obvious.
