some observations

Who knows if anyone ever brought this up before, I noticed that for the most part pics of masks get the most replies, but this is different. In Halloween when Laurie, Annie, and Lynda are walking home from school Michael drives by slowly in the station wagon. He is looking at them for a moment and then speeds off. By the time Annie shouts out “hey jerk, speed kills” he was way too far to hear her say that and slam on the brakes.

After the closet scene when Michael is down and laurie has sent the kids to the neighbors house you can see her mouthing a countdown to when she needs to walk out of the doorway and into the hall where Michael eventually comes after her and takes his (Tony Moran’s) mask off for a brief moment. BTW, was that Tommy Wallace who was lying down and then rose from his waist and turned his head to look at Laurie slumped in the doorway?

Your first observation, you have to understand the concept behind michael myers. He is simply everywhere, he can see past the wall, hes not an ordinary man etc. So it makes sense to give you that kind of chilling feel that wow this guy is simply not human. ANd…its a movie. Its not suppose to be necessarily realistic. I can say the same about Jason movies when he is walking all slow and people are running, and he still catches up to them.

I havnt noticed the countdown but I will look for that when I watch the movie next time.

Yes I understand what you are saying, and it’s a sound opinion of that scene, but I think in this case it was more of a situation where you had young film makers and editors that simply let one slip by…kind of like the smoke from Carpenter’s ciggy behind the bush, and the wrench in Myer’s hand when he smashed the passenger window on the station wagon at the beginning of the movie. Almost forgot, the look on Laurie’s face when she is “Startled” by sheriff Brackett. Look at it again, she looks like she about to bust out laughing.

Not trying to slam my favorite movie of all time, just pointing out some fun facts that come from watching the movie way too many times

I did notice the part where laurie runs into sheriff bracket…its very obvious she is about to burst out laughing, they should have done that scene over. Everytime I see that scene i think about the mess up. The other observations, I didnt really pay much attention to it.
