ive been very patient with silver shampain novelties up until now.I ordered a durand and waited 6 weeks then,no mask so I thought to myself, well it said 6~9 weeks for delivery ill keep waiting.but now ive grown quite irritated with them .with it going on 13 weeks waiting I think im just going to give up.any feedback on your experiences dealing with them?
SSN has always been trustworthy–Sean is great about filling orders. Just give it time, 13 weeks is nothing compared to how long some of us wait.
alright thanks man ill keep waiting.no.i have a better idea.ill stop waiting so when it arrives ill be surprised
They’re great guys, I’ll PM you Sean’s cell and you can talk to him directly. I know he’s been very busy lately.
Chris
ok thanks
I’ve never heard of anyone not getting their order from SSN. I’ve purchased three masks from them myself, and while the delivery times have varied, I’ve always been very happy with the end result.
SSN is a great company from what Ive been told but waiting 3 months for any mask is inexcusable especially if it says 6-9 weeks. If your to busy to fulfill your orders dont take them.I know people wait 6 months on some masks but I think thats horrible business…Good luck on getting your mask.I would feel so guilty taking someones money and making them wait 3 months or longer for their masks…
I saw Darren Roberts in person who makes the Durand mask for them and he was very busy and catching up on orders. He does many masks other than Myers so my advice is to just email them and wait patiently. I picked up 3 of my masks he was working on 2 days ago and he had them for about a month or so. Your in good hands.
Definitely in good hands, Sean and Darren are 100% reliable and the mask will be WELL WORTH the wait.
Darren just contacted me earlier this week about a mask I am having him do up. Darren mentioned he was a little later than usual getting it done due to being VERY busy.
Congradulations on your Durand, it’s a beast of a mask!
Exactly!
I Ordered a New blood latex mask some weeks before x-mas I got it about 1 week ago, so yes they take they’re time
I really want an SSN Durand H20 mask ;-; Congrats on buying one, hope it comes in soon
ive never ordered from SSN but ive never heard bad feedback on them either. im sure what you’ve heard in this thread is true.
i do have to agree 100% with this. the 45 day revolution has something going (just because i dont have it in my signiture doesnt mean i dont agree)
if a mask maker is too backed up to get you a mask in 45 days then they shouldnt accept your money, bottom line.
side note: thats why Nik is my favorite mask maker bacause ive never even had to wait 45 days to get a mask from him
I admit I’m not big on the waiting, but as long as the artist is up front with me I’ll always endure the wait if it’s something I really want. When you think about it, If everyone was to join the 45 Day Revolution Crew then nobody here would ever own another mask from a certain artist who is one of the most well-respected and trusted mask makers in the business.
I know who your talking about and if you remember in my initial statement I said if your not comfortable with the artists your buying from then give them 45 days. I have a handful of artists I trust fully and I wait for my masks from them till they are finished. It’s all about communication and respect otherwise 45 days to get the job done.
If they would make masks ahead of time and get themselves an inventory built up there would be no wait. This made to order stuff can cost you customers. I think you limit your business really because there are some people that feel they should not have to wait at all. Maybe on special run masks it’s cool, but on something in your general product line I think you should make enough ahead of time to keep you ahead of the game. You get someones money and pull a mask out of inventory and ship it.
ive always wondered why mask makers wont keep a stock of at least 5-10 blank pulls around, especially of their most ‘in demand’ masks. i know requests on painting and hairing vary but an experienced mask maker could paint and hair a mask in afew hours at most.
if i were a mask maker i might realize why most dont run their business by this practice, but i would have several blank pulls ready of every mask i offered, so when i got an order the only wait time would be for me to paint, hair, and ship it. i would not except money from someone today, knowing i couldnt get them their product until May or June!!
i know i say this only from a buyers perspective but if i ordered a jacket from JC Penny, i wouldnt at all understand a 6 month wait period to get it.
if nothing else i think extremely busy mask makers should just file your order and when they get ready to make your mask then they could send out a notice of payment. that way after you pay for your mask you will recieve it within a week or two.
and yes Gummi Justin has earned trust and respect by never taking anyone for their money. i have a current order with him. but there are ways he could minimize the wait times between purchasing and recieving your item.
SSN always delivers quality products and when i was waiting for my durand to arrive sean always kept me informed on my mask and when it was going to be shipped and waiting makes it even better when rthe beuty finall arrives
I agree completely. The problem I’ve run into in the past is not knowing who to trust due to lack of feedback. I know that a lot of us freely post negative feedback, but I think there are many people who refrain from doing so for one reason or another. Between lying artists and PayPal’s ridiculous dispute policies, It’s gotten to the point that I lube up every time I send someone money in preparation for my reaming. Again, this does not apply to SSN; I have nothing but good things to say about them.
ssn is a great company you will get your mask!!!..
