Talcum powder brand?

I was told by Nicolas to use only talcum powder on my mask but there are so many options at Walmart. Medicated, lavender, aloe… I don’t see plain talcum powder. What should I get?

I would use corn starch dusted in it

Okay, Nicolas said talcum powder… I wonder if his medical latex prefers talcum instead of cornstarch?

Talcum is horrible to breath in. If you care about your health, I’d pick corn starch my friend.

Talcum is basically dust like aluminum{or that’s what I heard} Just giving you a best choice and a heads up on the toxicity to your lungs.

Thanks very much… I appreciate it!!

What’s been said, use Corn Starch. Talcum Powder has silica and stuff in it that is pretty much the very last thing you’d want to be breathing in.

Using “Baby Powder” in masks is an outdated practice.

Corn Starch

Thanks all… much appreciated!!

So here’s a silly question… how do you apply the corn starch to a mask? Sprinkle some on the inside and shake it around in a plastic bag for a bit? I think that’s what I’ve heard before. But how much cornstarch? Pardon my ignorance lol

I sprinkle some in, then brush it around with a brush. Sometimes I’ll even just use my hand

Okay cool… thanks!

Corn startch 1000 % better than talcum. Talcum stays in lungs and NEVER comes out. constarch is used in new bubble gum so good for latex.

Thanks so much!!

Don’t worry about the talc. It’s not asbestos. Lol you wouldn’t use enough to hurt you anyway. It’s a light dusting and so light if shouldn’t just come off for you to breath anyway. And if you’re still trippin wear panty hose on your head. it’s not in the 3-5 microns size you really need to worry about with pulmonary fibrosis. Corn starch is hygroscopic and can take on moisture. I.e. from your latex mask. Talc doesn’t do that. That is the reason Nick told you to use talc. I’d stick to his advice.

See above in my comment

Once. Found it not slippery enough to get on comfortably, and when I got out of it i was covered in wet, slimy blobs of talcum powder residue.

Use a bot of corn starch, not too much tho as it can build up and rot the mask,it kinda builds up like “rust” on your latex if you over use it. Just keep the mask wiped clean on the inside and outside, and out of sun light and you should be fine.

Maybe I’ll just leave it be lol. I mean I plan on wearing it for a few minutes to get some good pics and on Halloween night to scare some peeps and that’s it
