Very Cool informative thread, I commend you for your effort on this outstanding achievement! Mods make this a sticky
I actually own the Don Post the mask 83 proto I bought in summer of 83 at universal studios. It’s in sad melted shape but that still doesn’t stop some persistent members from trying to buy it from me never
WOW this is an incredible thread and should be pinned at the top.
Thank you for your compliment! That would be amazing if they made it a sticky! That would be such an honor. You do!!? I’d love to see pictures even if it is melting!
Thank you! That would make my dreams come true!
Beautiful pair! Great pick up
Thank you for this. Very informative.
No problem. Hope everyone likes it.
Outstanding thread. Probably the best I’ve ever seen on here.
Thank you and WOW. That is an amazing compliment! I really take that to heart. Glad you enjoyed it.
Awesome guide! it’s great to have all this information in one place, rather than having to comb through years of past threads get the info you want. I do have one question that I was hoping you could answer: you mentioned that while some of the MW’s you’ve seen are dead on to the h1 coveralls but that you had seen other pairs that were also dead on. Do you know what brand these other pairs belonged to?
Thank you very much. When I made that statement I was mainly talking about some Reeds that I’ve seen.
Davy, I’ve been doing some research and I found the original auction for those screen used RZ H2 boots. The description states that they are size 14 Carolinas, but it doesn’t list a model number. I will try to m=narrow it down more .
EDIT: Davy! I found the boots. Carolina Men’s 8 in. 1809 Steel Toe Boots
Same blue interior, same stitching, same leather strip at the top, etc. The only difference is the laces aren’t held by rivets, but that is simply because they tweaked the design. Older pairs have the correct shoe rivets instead of the new ones. Also the white tag must be ripped off. Case closed. Thank you, Davy!!
WOW absolutely amazing work my friend!! I along with others would love to see this thread stamped at the top for resource use. Couple of things you may want to add, Jim Winburn also played the hero in H1. He was the one that got shot and fell from the balcony. In H6 the HH boots don’t have the little pattern across the toe, the older plain toe are harder to find, below is a pic of mine compared to H6. And I’m pretty sure the screen used boots in H2O are gorilla, double check and correct me if I’m wrong. Again, excellent work bravo!!!
Thank you! I will add your pics and research the H20 boots a little more. It’s a toss up between gorilla and Honchos. Got any comparison pics of the H20 boots?
I remember a thread about the H20 boots few years ago, anyway look at the pic of him laying down towards the end, look at the stitching on the boot and overall sole side. The gorilla boot matches perfectly, they are nearly impossible to find, however diamondback boots use the exact same style.
This is where I get confused. I have seen those boots advertised as the screen used H20 boots, but I have also seen these advertised as the hero Halloween H20 boots:
Those boots were formerly owned by David Brandon of Horrordomain who has owned many screen used myers items. This is his old display with a screen used H6 mask displayed with his screen used H20 coveralls and boots. He claims he got them as a pair…
Amazing thread, so much great information!! Thanks for the hard work!
Only thing I could add is about the H4 mask. I do know for sure that Nik at NAG still makes the H88 mask. I just inquired with him about one merely weeks ago…
Great!! I will update it right now. Also, thank you very much for the kind words. The work put in is worth it, I can assure you!
And you know it’s possible, if during any scenes, a different actor portrayed myers, and may have been more than 1 pair of boots used, may be different, I don’t know. I could have sworn, though I can’t find it now, maybe a pic when he’s dropping down behind JLC, maybe you could actually read gorilla in gold print, anyway keep up the good work, again excellent source of material here for all to see. Also post below my Big Mac coveralls, may not be 100%, but until or if we ever know for sure, I think these are the closest ones to H1. I’ve only seen a few pair like these over the years.
Couple more, the power of lighting
