I remember Bata shoe stores! Lol
Yeah man I thought that was you I’d love to know more information I really have no idea I just like I said was searching for the right soles haha. I’ll have to take a closer look at mine when I get a chance. I’m so behind on my videos I just haven’t had time these days. But yeah without a doubt I love hearing about new information and I don’t know where Altama came from either.
All right well I finally got a chance to take a closer look at mine here this weekend.
Mine say “International Shoe Company” and are stamped 12-66. I took a few pictures for reference. The insoles are yellow and hard as a rock. Definitely gonna have to try the hot water thing sometime.
Here are the pictures of mine anyway.

Nice. I didn’t figure yours would actually be Altama, since, as I mentioned, I haven’t actually seen any true Vietnam-era jungle boots bearing that brand name. They may well be out there, but I have yet to come across them, which indicates to me that, at the very least, they weren’t too common. Here is a quick bit of info I found on Ro-Search, which appears to be the parent company that made your boots.

Regarding the insoles, I was able to scoop up a couple of extra insoles I found on eBay for my size boot. But I can’t seem to find any in the 12N size on there at the moment.
If I can ask…The listings I’ve found for the Wolverines used in Halloween Kills seem to have 2 options with the black color. One says black, the other says black leather. Both look to be steel toed and the correct style from what I’ve seen but just seeing if anyone knows for sure. There are some cosmetic differences but if anyone has the for sure answer I’d appreciate it. Thank you kindly.
I could only find a video of the Michael Myers clean mask from behind the scenes of the Halloween 2007 remake. I hope this helps.

Great knives! Currently trying to id the narrow blade wooden handle knife, do you have more details available on these?
Question about H2 coveralls:
Was recently working on adding bullet holes/bloods to some coveralls and I noticed that one of my reference pics was this one- when you look closely I don’t think those are the original coveralls (or mask), they’re missing the bullet hole under the right chest pocket towards the center and the white smudge on the left chest pocket.
Does anyone know any info about this? The coverall color looks more of a dark green than spruce green as well, I wonder if Dick had a pair made to replicate the film? Or maybe found a pair of the exact same brand/style/color/size as he originally had?
SUSPECTED REPLICA COVERALLS:

The ones in the pic of him with the Handiboy mask are replicating the originals that Mark Roberts owns
I came here to post about the Altama boots, but you guys beat me to it. Altama didn’t start making boots for the military until 1969. By that time the Vibram sole was phased out for the Panama sole so it is highly unlikely the boots in the movie are Altamas. I have a pair of Endicott Johnson brand jungle boots dated March 1967 with the RO-Search Vibram sole. There’s no way to know what brand the boots were unless someone finds the actual pair used in the movie, but I’m almost certain they aren’t Altamas.
Based off of some screenshots I took from footage in the movie as well as some stills from Halloween ends I believe I have the exact right copy of the boots used in both movies. Whether they’re steel toe or not I do not know I chose not to get steel toe since they were for cosplay purposes but here is a pic of the tag inside and of one of the boots
What’s kind of funny to me is I didn’t find out until after buying the boots and doing further research online that they were this exact style and color wolverine boot. With the exception of not knowing if they were steel toe or not. I never did find a first certain on that would definitely like to know if anybody does find out. You can find them by googling wolverine boot followed by the stock number on the tag or you can find them listed as wolverine men’s floor hand waterproof boots in black
I wish my coveralls were that nice
Do we know what size coveralls Rohan wore? Some say Medium, others say Small.
Christopher Yura who did some work on the film said the wardrobe for Rohan was a mix of Smalls and Mediums, and his coveralls were the Levis Small.
This also goes for Corey DeMeyers who did most of the masked Corey scenes, any info?
Holy… thank you for an amazing job and the dedication. You should go into a HOF… Respect
Hello!
Does anyone know if the original 78 hero mask had seam lines on the sides of the neck?
