Is there any pros/cons to either? I have a smaller head and I think a thicker pour would make the fit a bit snugger. Also I would think a thick pour would hold it’s shape better, and be less prone to tearing. Am I right or wrong here?
a super thin pull doesnt hold its shape as well. i prefer what is considered a medium thin.
and stands to reason that over time a thin mask will rot away much quicker than a think pull.
Its all in the quality of the pour.If you have a clean pour with no air holes a thinner pour can be good.If someone does not take their with the pouring process any thickness can be a disaster.I prefer medium pulls…
Thanks for the responses, guys. I’ve got a smaller head (22") and many of the H1 replicas I like are “medium” (23") or large (24"+). If I were to say a Psycho which is usually around 23" in a thick pour it might be a better fit.
This is a good topic man, thanks for posting it…I wondered the same for a while, I didn’t even realize they came in different thickness at first as it was never mentioned in the “mask specs” …
My preference is THICK, but I’m happy with Medium as THICK isn’t common from my experiences, probably because what was mentioned earlier, they are hard to wear…stiff, minimize your head/neck movement…my reasoning here is solely based on displaying the masks (I can’t wear them because of my glasses, and I cant wear contacts, so no myers for me…altho with the cost of these masks I can’t even imagine wearing one and getting my oils, breath condensation, and sweat inside em LOL …I am able to do Jason tho )…so I want THICK because it holds it’s shape without the need of stuffing and manually shaping them, they won’t droop as fast (if at all?? no idea there) sitting upon a stand, and the half-life before rotting is WAY WAY far away…
