TOTS H2 CONVERSION to H1

I recently purchased a TOTS H2 mask, because all of the H1’s were sold out. I’ve heard that they are the same mask, just painted differently.

To me it seems like the H2 is much wider (because of the actor’s face), i’d like the slimmer look that the H1 is more known for, and I’d love to know where I should start with painting mine.

There are videos on YouTube but the H2 sculpt from TOTS is the NightOwl Lunatic and the Elrod is the NightOwl Psycho. You can search the forums here, some members have definitely done solid conversions on the mask but they are 2 different sculpts not just paint jobs

Ah okay, I have the NightOwl Lunatic sculpt then, It looks pretty similar to H1, it just has a wider face, nose tip looks more pointed, and eye holes are asymmetrical. I’ve seen a few threads/videos. But no detailed explanation of what they did to their mask to convert it. Currently I’m just stuck trying to spot the differences.

Or do you know any tips to make it fit better around the neck/keep the collar to my coveralls popped up. I find myself having to readjust the collar and the neck seems to look way too fat, almost like a bobblehead.

The lunatic is based on a pic from Halloween 2

Here’s 1 and 2’s differences, though the H2 can be painted like an H1, and some have looked really good

eye holes are supposed to be asymmetrical. The h1 and h2 mask were the same mask, it’s just the actors heads were shaped very differently. The TOT’s masks are meant to replicate the shape of the actors head inside the mask, not just the mask itself.

Yes I’m aware of this, but I need some listed ways for making the H2 TOTS look more like the H1 (On Screen) mask

all I can think of would be style the hair more like h1, open the eyes up, and probably open your jaw while wearing it to stretch it down some.

It’s sculpted to look wide and fat, so making it long and lean is going to be a challenge.

You can also try a repaint. Just get some white acrylic and mix in a little liquid latex, then apply to the areas where skin tone shows through. Use a little black paint on the cheekbone lines and then darken and style the hair. A light black wash would also help. Not much can be done about the actual shape, though.
