ToTS H2 to H1 conversion-first attempt!

Hello everyone! I know I’m unfamiliar around here, haven’t been around in almost 15 years now. With the new Halloween out, I thought I’d peek my head back in here and see what I’ve been missing…needless to say I’m hooked back in and hungry to start collecting again  . I also decided it was time to play around with a myers mask since I have a backround in makeup effects and casually making masks in my free time in the past. With that said I saw one if the tots h2 for the umpteenth time at party city, snagged it and began trying to make it more of a h1 mask. I’m not super happy with the eye cuts, and the hair still needs a little tweaking, but it’s just about done! The hair was stolen from a couple of those horrible paper magic RZ myers masks I picked up for cheap at a local swap meet  . Its my first attempt doing a myers mask, so any input would be greatly appreciated! Here are my results.

I think it looks good man! Definitely a great place to start and you nailed the eyecuts. Considering what you used for the hair I am beyond impressed in that area as well!

Well done, big improvement! The hair looks great, and good job on the eyecuts and paint!

Thanks man! I was a bit worried the eye cuts were a had too large, but maybe that was just overanalyzing. Thanks on the hair compliment too! The whole idea was to do this project with supplies I could find locally on the fly. Any suggestions on the skin tone underneath? I was trying to match the kirk skin tone but I couldn’t get the color just right. Thank you again man!

Thanks dude!   Hopefully I’ll get more proficient with redoing the mass produced stuff!

No problem at all man! The eye cuts look good to me and surprisingly even! The original sculor even had a bigger left eye cut than he right but you get them down nicely.

I’d personally paint over the stock flesh tones with a base white coat and once it dries add a subtle layer of flesh colored latex paint mixed with some black or brown to give it a nice realistic skin color while still keeping it simple.

Great job man and can’t wait to see your next one!
