Transporting masks on a plane?

Hey all,

I’m flying to Dallas for the Texas Frightmare Weekend and I would like to bring a couple of masks for John Carpenter to sign. What is the best way to transport them? Will they allow a mask on carry-on luggage? I would hate to put them in the luggage and have the airline lose my bags. Any ideas?

Thanks!!

Why wouldnt they allow masks in carry on luggage??
If it fits in the bag, anything goes (as long as it isnt breathing, leaking, or ticking! )

I don’t know, I thought maybe with heightened security they might outlaw masks on your person.

you know what, you never know…they are getting a little extreme with there security tactics (only took em 9 years! :unamused: )
…I would just wear it on the plane and see what happens!
but seriously just call your airlines cust service and ask to make sure!
I would feel really bad if you went on what i said and the anti-phsyco mask on plane bill went into effect!

I took some masks onboard with me coming back from NYC and I was fine
Infact I also had Alginate in my suitcase I’m surprised that wasn’t mistaken for drugs

That was just the info I was looking for. Thank you sir!!

The answer to you bringing them on to the plane as carry on is yes…in 07 and in 08 I brought with me 2 different mask for each year to georgia, to visit a friend of mine.Just take your mask in either the box in what shipped in when you made the purchase or a postal box that you can buy at usps, big enought to fit your mask in. you will have to send it through the x-ray machaine, but it is harmless to the mask. you can also store it in the overhead compartment or hold onto it your self… Dean

I brought 4 with me this morning on the plane and I had no problems at all. I have traveled with masks many times and they may give you a look, but they are cool with it.

Sweet. You just stick them in a box in your carry-on? What is the best way to make sure they are protected?
