Here is both cuts of the Halloween II fan edits. Both of them are variations of the same edit using the Directors cut as the main source.
Version one is the directors cut with most of the theatrical scenes restored, some deleted scenes and some rescored Carpenter music along with the theatrical cut ending.
Version 2 is also the Directors Cut with all Theatrical scenes restored*, some deleted scenes and alternate versions of the rescored Carpenter music but this one has the *Directors cut ending without the “Love Hurts” music.
This one differs in how it’s cut together and has a different overall feel to it.
For example Laurie is less aggressive here (I cut out her initial attack on Annie at the Breakfast table which makes a dramatic difference to their dynamic later and she doesn’t use the “F” word with her therapist upon the first session) and this version also contains the “Halloween” theme in parts. Also the scene where Laurie wakes from a nightmare and talks to Buddy her toy bear is restored. Little variations here and there but overall there is a different tone to Laurie in this one which makes it all the more tragic in the end.
