So i was flipping through a maxim mag the other day and came across an article on readers great buys for christmas, well one caught my eye… Let me just say i’m not all that tall and sometime i fill like im not tall enough to pull off the whole myers look, but now those wrys have gone away… increasingshoes. com have boots and other types of shoes that add up to 5.5inches to your height, i’m 5’11" so that’d make me 6’4" which would be pretty intimidating walking around like myers…Just thought i’d share this cool find with you guys :finga: :finga: :finga:
DW was 5’11 in H2. 
yea true… but i’m pretty skinny too so height would be a better way to pull off the look especially at our haunted house we had, idk how many times older guys acted like they werent even scared bc i wasnt even as tall as them…oh well next year they will be haha
Yeah, when I picture Myers in my head, I don’t think of a giant guy. I think of an average sized man, rather. That is what the original Shape was anyway… Now the image of Michael Myers has changed so much and people think they have to be a giant, tall person to pull off Michael Myers. 5’11’’ sounds just right, if it’s screen-accuracy we’re talking about, as K stated above.
lol im 6 foot and half, but i feel i should be 6ft 2 to be myers. i know its all this talk about U HAVE TO BE THIS TALL and blah blah. lol

i dont think of a giant either i just wanted a little more scare out of it bc most avg men these days are around the 6 foot mark and its hard to try and scare them if michael is smaller than they are ya know thats all i meant, bc i dont want to make michael seem like a super-human bc thats what was soooo scarey abt the original the concept of michael could be your next door neighbor 
I believe DW said that he bought shoes with a bigger heel on them so he would appear taller for the film.

Check out Amazon.com and search platform shoes & Boots. They will probably be more comfortable than those shoes from increasingshoes.com. The increasingshoes.com ones look like they are built up inside the shoe to make you taller like high heels. Could be kinds of uncomfortable. Platform shoes you get an increase from the bottom of the shoe being thicker.
thanks for the heads up on that shoe website… I’ll keep that place bookmarked for next year! I stopped growing at 5’9 but I’ve been playing The Shape on and off for over 10 years just fine I’d say. I always keep in mind that Dick Warlock was also on the short side, yet he managed to be the greatest Michael of them all. in fact, myself, Dick, and his son happened to be the same height.
keep us posted on how those shoes feel when you get them. if they give the effect of being taller without being uncomfortable or looking like Frankenstein boots, then I’ll probably pick me up a pair also!
yea im not planning on purchasing anytime soon just thought they seemed kinda cool, but i did bookmark the website and i may purchase some close to halloween next year :finga:

yeah thats what i did this halloween in our haunted house im about 5 11 or 5 10 the shoes made me about 6 4. i think it made my costume
Just go to hot topic and get some nice 4inch lift boots and then tall men shoes to get another 2inch insole to put inside. added on to my height, im a total of 6’6 in this pic:
Dick Warlock is 5’9. Wearing lifts in the film got him close to 6 ft. Nick Castle is listed as 5’10. So yeah with shoes these guys reached 6 ft, i think warlock still looked under 6 ft in the movie.
They have nothing that looks even remotely close to Michael’s boots.
Thats a valid point but I dont think in a haunted house theyre looking at your feet and it isnt too noticeable in costume shots but when going for accuracy, yeah they aren’t accurate
yea wasnt really going for accuracy just scare-ability if thats even a word haha
