Weather / Atmosphere during Halloween time

Hey Guys,

just want to ask on your opinions…

Should the weather be more like wet / rainy / cold on our beloved big day ? Or do u like it when weather is more sunny / warm ?!

Personally i like it more dry but not really that cold… so lil trick or treaters have more fun that day.

Also what about the Halloween Movies ?
Which Movie gave you the perfect weather / Atmosphere for that day ?
Horror-wise Halloween 6 is maybe on the Top. That movie had a perfect autumm / Fall feeling.

The H4 opening is still one of the closest portrayals to how late October looks in Illinois. I’d say it can be both wet and dry. It’s the beginning of the wet season here around that time, and this year alone we’ve already had wind storms, a 2 minute snow storm, and a drought all in like 2 months. I personally prefer it drier just for the sake of the trick or treaters, but that’s my personal preference. Out of all the movies, though, I felt like H4 has gotten it the closest to what it’s like here in the Autumn. H6 is a very close second, though.

Also, something to keep in mind is that when the leaves change here, they CHANGE instantly. Some years we’ve had nothing but dead leaves by Halloween, other years everything is still green. We’re not Vermont or Pennsylvania, where you get a guaranteed leaf season every year. We get luck of the draw depending on the year. 2 years ago was meh around here. Had to wait until November for anything decent and it wasn’t exactly as mind blowing either. Last year was pretty good, but not the best I’ve seen. This year still isn’t the best I’ve seen, but it’s still be pretty spectacular. Also doesn’t hurt that peak colors was last weekend. I took this picture back on Friday.

For me I guess the nicest aspect of Halloween and Fall in general is the beautiful colors of the leaves and seeing them scattered all over the ground. In New York it is usually quite cold this time of year, but I prefer it to be somewhere in the 50’s with a little breeze blowing the leaves all over. I’d prefer it not to rain just so all the kids are able to trick or treat without ruining their costumes and masks but this is without a doubt my favorite time of year!

My favorite time of the year!! I love the fall colors, the crisp Autumn air. It’s the best season to ride my Harley. Apple cider, Apple pie, pumpkin spice DD. I love all the Halloween decorations and imagery everywhere. I love the costumes and monster masks. I love watching all my fav. Slasher flix. I love that my teenage daughter feels the same way–too cool. Oh yeah, now that Ma. has legalized Mary-Jane, it’s harvest time baybee!!! Life is good.

Looks like I’m going to luck out and it is warming up to be in the 60s tomorrow! Sad but I really don’t have any plans. Was going to take my nephews out trick-or-treating but they both are sick. Debating seeing the new film again and possibly going to a haunted house!

I like it cold and dry. haha

Should be dry…but dammit it will rain here this year!!! It’s rained a lot this October and I couldn’t turn the graveyard on most of this season because of it

I LOVE Fall, it’s hands down my favorite season of the entire year. I love the beautiful leaves, and the nice cool, crisp, refreshing air as the temperature starts going down. It’s SO refreshing after a long, miserably hot Summer (my least favorite season  ) In general though, I feel like a typical Autumn day should be cloudy and cool with a cool breeze blowing the leaves around. Gosh, I get goosebumps just thinking about it  Don’t get me wrong, a sunny Autumn day can be nice too, but to me, the sunshine just gives off too many Summer vibes for my taste.
Anyway, I would agree that H4 definitely has the best Fall/Autumn feeling to it in the series. I LOVE that gorgeous intro with the cool air blowing, and the absolutely chilling music in the background. It FEELS like Autumn, as though you can actually feel the cold air, it’s perfect.

Sunny and in the 60s here in pa, perfect weather

I completely lucked out, it’s been rainy and cold here in NY but tomorrow is going to be between 50-60 which is ideal for me. Do you live in the more rural area of PA like Lancaster where you have a lot of farms nearby?

I’m in the suburbs about 30 mins from philly, honestly only been to Lancaster maybe once

For the second straight year, Halloween will be canceled due to weather tomorrow. Not happy at all. So halloween should always be cool, colorful, and dry.
