I’m interested in knowing what brand and color you guys use for your H’78 costume. I currently use Charcoal gray red kaps, but I’m thinking about purchasing a pair of Big Macs in charcoal gray or spruce green red kaps.
Personally, I’ve always used navy blue coveralls for H1 Myers, no particular brand, just as long as they don’t have those diagonal zip pockets, I’m good to go. I’ve looked around stores for some charcoal coveralls, but no luck, so I just stick with navy blue. It may not be 100% accurate, but the coveralls in the movie come across as navy blue in the night time scenes anyway with the lighting, at least to me.
Charcoal Reeds. To me, they’re the most neutral color, and can look like other colors the easiest depending on light. To me they kind of look greenish in this photo.
I just got a new pair of charcoal Reeds for my new lifesize… I think they are pretty spot on, especially if you can’t find Big Macs… But I used spruce green red kaps for my previous lifesize and they also looked great!! So it’s up to what you like… I think your red kaps look very accurate myself

Pretty much me as well, but I’m going for a more generic Michael look in general.
I use Big Macs, and they are a spruce Green and change colour, they have a slight grey in the material from what I can see in person too
Navy Blue.
I know it’s not accurate but after much internal debate regarding movie props/replicas/costumes, I’ve decided to pursue how things look on screen instead of how I know they really are.
To me they look blue on screen (even though I know it’s the lighting), and all the toys and figures and depictions of him in media have him wearing blue, and a surprising number of people when wearing the costume expect him to be in blue, (like they’ll ask you why you’re wearing green)…so I just go with blue.
And as a bonus I can just switch the mask for a hock and be Roy…
Win/Win,…it’s a two-fer. hahaha
But for pt 2 Myers, I go with green. But for H1? Blue.
I have always used Navy Blue! It has been my personal favorite color for his coveralls and in the right lighting my coveralls look blue or grey.
