??? What is the hair that wayne toth used on the h1 h2 masks

Hey gang. . . im never on anymore it seems. . . things have been crazy!!!

i was working on some work and watching the h2007 3 disc documentary again and it started bugging me again. . .

What was the hair used on the screenused h2007 and h2009 masks?!? to be quite honest. . . i see most cats in this hobby use some kind of camel top. . but it doesnt “flow” like either screenused does and most certainly doesnt have the same look as the h2. .

Lewis Frye uses something that is pretty freakin’ similar IMO. . but i was wondering if anyone has caught what the actual hair type is, or if someone has a strong compelling theory. .

gotta run back to work

I believe in H2 he used camel it was just really nasty for the bloody mask and kinda normalish for the half mask.

My RZ movie book said it was some kind of mohair.

Not really sure but i’m having Sam use mohair on my HSS H9 just because i think it looks better and i’ll be able to style it more like the movie.

i’m pretty sure it was camel. that’s what everyone seems to use on RZ masks

My press book clearly says that Wayne Toth said it was some kind of mohair which was extremely curly/wavey.
He also stated that the hairing was the most toughest part of the mask.

Well Wayne Toth emailed me and said it was baby camel hair. So, how do we know for sure? I emailed wayne months ago and that’s what he told me. I also asked him what sort of sealant he used and what he used for the blood and how to dirty up the hair.

I hate it when the info gets all mixed up.lol
If Justin asked the man personally then it must be camel.
My press book just stated what he said

Yeah I would go with camel as well.
