I was wondering what kind of prop make-up that I should use if I wanted to paint latex eyes black but be able to get it off later? I want to darken up some latex eye inserts for a Myers Resurrection display but be able to take it off and not have it stain. I was thinking about using masking tape and just latexing/painting that too as a last resort. Would regular black make-up work and dry, and would it stain trying to get it off? Never tried make-up on latex yet.
I don’t think make up is ur answer, I would use whats called charcol, and not the one’s from you grill, it’s a special charcol that you can pick up in craft stores, wait untill a few other mask artists like james to help you out on the right charcol to use. There might even be other methods, hope this helps in some way… Dean
Thanks. Yeah just trying to find the best stuff to use on latex but I can certainly find ways around it by making another latex piece or using the tape idea. But this is just in case I want to use say propshop eye inserts, and can’t afford several pairs. So was just seeing what the options were so I did not mark them up permanently.
Dont use make up, they are full of oils and will do damage to the latex.
I used a black sharpie on my latex eye inserts for my Warlock SE. It works great. Getting it off is another story
