When did you first see H78?

In 1978. I was 5 years old. I remember crying and being scared to death! It was one of my first memories. I’ve been scarred ever since. I can’t even tell you how many nightmares I’ve had because of it.

I noticed some posters saw it when they were Michael’s age when he killed Judith :axe: :stuck_out_tongue:

Just like you Demon Bishop, I saw H2 before H1 as well. I caught it as a kid at a day care in the mid 90s. The two sons of the owner at the day care put oldschool horror flicks on and for some reason I only saw the second sequels of a few horror franchises including Freddy’s Revenge lol. The first two horror scenes I ever saw and remember were the hot tub scene from H2 and the shower scene from NOEM2. I guess I only remembered the sex and violence, go figure :unamused:

I was always into celebrating Halloween and trick 'o treating, but it took me a little while to actually watch the films behind the Party City masks I was always curious and fascinated by. But I finally saw H1 with a girl I used to walk home with when I was in middle school. Needless to say she wasn’t too impressed… But I certainly was and then set off my deep venture into the horror franchises. So in conclusion, I originally chose horror before girls :smiling_imp:

Maybe a bit before H20 came out. I was seven or eight, and had already seen 4-6 I’m sure.

It popped up on TV randomly one year in the 90’s and scared the hell out of me. lol

Back in 78 at South Bay theaters in Torrance California. I was 7 years old, and my parents said they took me because of all things, they couldn’t get a baby sitter. What I remember is being terrified that he was out in the parking lot, then at our house. But my parents took me to see a lot of movies back then. If they did that today, they would probably be in jail. Im so glad I grew up in back then, and not now!! Happy October 1st!

Yeah what’s happened to society? Someone would get bent just over this story these days [emoji17]

I don’t know…I went to see “It” last week and there was a family in there with a very young child, maybe 5 or 6. Crazy!

Back in 2003, when I was only 8 years old, my father brought it home after a late work day. It scared me so badly I had nightmares for about 6 months lol! And on and off dreams until 2007 when the Rob Zombie film came out. I saw the 2007 trailer and it heightened my dreams a bit. Finally, I decided to go as Michael for Halloween, and I conquered my fear  Now, Halloween is my all time favorite horror film, and Michael Myers is my favorite horror icon.

I first saw Halloween in the fall of 1997 when I was 17. I had heard about the series before and remembered seeing the VHS boxes for Halloween 2-5 at video rental stores. I distinctly remember the H4 cover and wondering who this creepy character was in the white mask.

Anyway, I happened to catch Halloween on TV after school one day and I found it really creepy and atmospheric. I remember being intrigued by the part where Myers seemingly disappears right in front of Laurie’s eyes. I was completely hooked from then on. I also saw H2 on TV and then rented the others on VHS. The following year I saw H20 in theaters and enjoyed it quite a bit. I also remember buying the soundtrack to the original Halloween on CD at Borders and loving it. The original Halloween is my favorite horror movie of all time.

When I was 14 years old. My brother and I rented H1 - H20 and watched them in order. Have been hooked ever since :metal:

I was probably 8 years old when I saw the first Halloween on VHS thats what sealed it for me I was hooked instantly

The first time I laid eyes on this film was the mid 90’s, and it was the scene where Tommy Doyle sees The Shape standing in front of the Wallace house. I was immediately hooked.

Age 10 or 11, TV version in 1980 or 81. Loved it then, love it now.

I’m sure I saw parts of it on TV when I was probably three or four years old around 1979/1980 I remember some shots on tv for sure that were frightening, but my first horror movies I saw enough of to really remember were Creepshow and Poltergeist in prob late 1982 early 1983.
I wasn’t a full-blown horror fan until I was about nine years old in late 1985 early 1986 when I saw A Nightmare on Elm Street 1 & 2. Halloween 1978 in full soon followed lol.
Lifer after that!

  1. I was 6 years old.
