thats priceless!! HAHAHA Nah, really though guys. It doesnt end the community, everyone is still here. The internet is a wonderful thing. Its not that big of a change. Its not like they confiscated all the masks and burned them. All of the masks are still out there and being produced. Drugs are illegal too, they are everywhere. Downloading music is illegal, its everywhere. If you still want to collect masks, you can. All of the artists still have thier clay and plaster and latex and love for the franchise. This is a hit, but theres no way they can stop our love for Myers, unless we let them, or they start producing good masks, which i doubt very seriously.
See, that’s one of my biggest issues. Even if they did start producing good masks, are they really going to have a full catalog of accurate masks for each film? With the fact that they come out with one new mask every year then a new one the next, I don’t see that happening. Do you see what I’m saying? Would they have an online catalog with all the movie accurate masks for us to buy from, open 24/7?
i am thinking maybe there might be a new mass produced mask coming out soon and they want to get rid of the indy artist so everyone will by theres.just a thought but thats the only reason i can think of…tommy
Wasn’t it around the time of Resurrection that Dick Warlock was “sponsoring” the sale of his signature mask? It was around that time (2002? i’m not sure). But I agree, this site has grown exponentially, no doubt about it, this is ground zero for Michael Myers. And it’s through here that a certain company probably gets all its info on mask sites, mask makers, etc.
I like the idea of remaking the site into a general horror site. But as long as the address is michael-myers.net, that company will always have us in their scope.
There’s a fine line and crack isn’t copyrighted that I know of? You can also make small numbers cause they are one offs but when you Charge more for a mask than a liscensed or even a hero your gonna have probs. No other hobby gets this attention even the statue community or garage kits which have been around for decades.
Well I am not saying disguise it as a general horror site, I’m saying make it a general horror site. General Discussion and the Freddy, Jason, Other section can be merged to make a general mask section and create a Movie Talk section, keep the Off Topic and all the other sections. Keeping the Myers name in the site will still draw the attention we have been getting but at least Trancas couldn’t scope us for being the Myers site.
i know, i agree with your idea. Not just disguise the site but make it into a site dedicated to all Horror. But even if this happened, don’t you think the address name alone of this site would still attract unwanted attention?
We’re already in their sights man, and even if we changed the name they can find us again and again and again…
I say we all just cool it for awhile. Most of us have the contact information of the people we wish to keep up with/have things coming from/etc.
As for me, I’ve tried PMing Derek but to no avail. I don’t really know what that means but I’ll choose the polite-on-both-ends reasoning of that’s he’s simply too busy to get back with me.

Let me ask this.If they do in fact browse here and read threads and so forth(and we know they do) ,why do they choose to go only after certain mask makers?If they are so serious about making all indy myers mask unobtainable why would they not go after each and every mask maker? Just curious if someone might have a logical answer to this.
I do know some dont advertise the sale of myers on their sites but many do…

I find it humorous that a rubber mask with white paint on it is being compared to drugs.

I find it humerous that a thread has been deleted twice from here stating a mod was working with trancas for a mask release but they would only do it if the site didnt sell any unlicensed mask this post will prob be deleted…
