So they went from using charcoal in H18 to navy in HKills? All he’s gotta do is look at the tag and it’ll say what color they are, so I doubt he’s wrong about the color.
All he has to do is to post a picture of that tag. Pictures distort colors to some ridiculous degree sometimes. Tag pic would settle it regardless of how the color looks.
Lol the tag says CG on those. Remember SDcostumeguy got sent those very coveralls mask and boots directly from Universal to do some publicity stuff for them before the premiere of the 2018 film and he posted all of the close-up info on those coveralls and they were definitely charcoal grey. Unless they somehow switched Kills to navy workrites which would be odd, but they definitely still look like charcoal grey to my eye anyway.
Here are a look at a bunch of his photos And some info on what he posted. He also took some pictures in different lighting so you could see just how different they actually look in different light.
OK guys just a quick update I got some information from Alex over at Legion again and it relates to the coverall color topic as well.
So first thing he said is he can have them made with charcoal or navy fabric once they have the V2 settled in. However the thing is if it’s the Navy then it will likely be sewn together with black thread.
He sent me a few pictures for reference and they look pretty decent imho if you are looking for navy.
So they are still trying to check if they can get charcoal threads for the charcoal coveralls and they are still in the process of collecting V1 feedback.
He also mentioned that they will be going back to sit down with the manufacturer later this week to go over the adjustments for the V2 design.
He is hopeful it won’t take too long to make a sample pair after that.
Again his contact information is here if anyone is interested in getting a pair of these. And again I really want to stress that I get absolutely nothing for this personally. I’m not getting any kickbacks or coveralls or anything like that at all from them this is just passing the information on to all of you guys when I get it.

PS
Don’t forget for anyone who knows him or how to reach him to let Cosplay Chris know about this! Lol he is doing a comparison video of the version 1 versus the workrites real soon and will prob appreciate the info.

Hmm I dunno I suppose they could have used Navy?? but I’m 100% certain they were still using the Charcoal Greys.
They CAN look Navy, especially with all that weathering that in itself will change the overall hue of the fabric and make it appear much darker. This is a common misconception even with the 2018 look. Having a pair of real Workrites in person I can tell you they can look Navy depending on the lighting too.
I have CG Workrites and they look exactly like the ones that Tait is wearing in that first photo, I’m certain they are CG. Navy has much more of a blueish tint to them.
Yeah those have gotta be charcoal… I remember Nick Castle saying the H18 were navy in an interview or something. Threw everyone for a loop for a second like this did lol
That’s right haha…and If I recall correctly, the Navy’s are so much darker in comparison to the Charcoal’s too. The last pic with all 3 of them together you can clearly see the dark spots in comparison to the actual fabric. The flash shot of James and Andi on set you can clearly see the grey. Here are my real Workrite Charcoal’s under my work lamp for comparison:
Hey guys so I heard from Alex again and have an update on the version 2’s.
I basically put it into a video on my channel again, it’s here if anyone is interested https://youtu.be/iPHULg4U8w4
Basically he said Version 2 goes into production by the end of next week so roughly mid December.
So they are hoping to have a sample copy in their hands around the end of December to show everyone. When they have them, they plan on doing another video comparison like the first one they did but this time comparing the two versions. They will also be sending out emails to everyone who ordered or pre-ordered and cancelled just to give them all the heads up.
I am optimistic that these will be pretty darn good. I don’t expect them to be 100% perfect of course but I bet they will be pretty darn close and I really appreciate that they are going to all this trouble for the cosplaying community.
Cheers all
Not that I’m aware of as far as I know he wears a 46 Long. If my info is correct I believe he is 6’3” and about 215lbs. The 6 foot 3 part is well documented, as for his weight he made some crack one time when he was doing a Q&A with Nick and he said some reference about being 215 I believe.
Just for comparison I wear a 46 long also and I’m 6 foot 2 and about 195 pounds and they aren’t baggy on me. I can’t imagine being 20 pounds heavier and an inch taller and having any bagginess.
Btw folks so the latest news is the version 2’s were sent off about December 9 to be made and the next update they will do will be after they have a version 2 copy in their hands. Then they will be putting out a comparison video for everyone to see how accurate they were able to get them. They expect to see them and have a video out before the end of this month.
I have been posting updates on my channel https://youtube.com/c/MorbidMattski
as I’ve got them, but there hasn’t been much to post lately.
They should have a copy of the version 2 soon enough to show everyone though.
Well I let the waist out on mine a bit with the instructions I found here yes.
I don’t have any recent pictures of my 46L because I’m in the middle of weathering them but I have some of me in my 48L in my 2018 cosplay. They are a little bit big on me.
