Actually, I wanted to check what John Carpenter said, that this mask was the same as in 1978, because of the marks and wrinkles, for me, it was impossible to notice the equality in both masks, so using the program: Pain Tool Sai , use the poster of the 2018 movie, and use an image of the 1978 movie, and this was the result.
That’s pretty neat. They really did an amazing job replicating the original and updating it for the 2018 film. No doubt about it, they are the same.
I wish they would of given us the H18 clean version. The sculpt was already made and masks were created for the film, then never used. Would of been a nice bonus to offer up the clean version since we didn’t get it in the film. Ohwell maybe one day they will add it to the H18 line. We shall see.
That 2018 shot has been altered to match the '78 shape.
It is a cool interpretation of the original mask, but this is a poorly overlayed shot of the 2018 over the original. If the original photo was removed you would see all of the differences. Nonetheless, I like the new mask.
