I was wondering if anyone here was able to score a ticket to the John Carpenter signing at Golden Apple comics in Hollywood?
The tickets went on sale Saturday 10/12 and you could only get a ticket in person and it was limited to 200 people. They also said that you had to show a photo ID when you bought a ticket and when you arrive for the signing, so you couldn’t buy a ticket for a friend.

Sadly I wasn’t able to get a ticket because I attended the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento this weekend so I couldn’t be there in person to get a ticket 
The same thing happened to me last year. I bought tickets to Aftershock and planned my trip, then they announced a signing two weeks before it actually happens. Of course the tickets go on sale the weekend I’m away at the festival.
I called them this afternoon when they opened and of course they sold out already. They also told me that I could have got a friend to buy me a ticket! I was so pissed because it said on their Instagram post that you had to show ID to buy a ticket and when you arrived to the event. If I would have known this I would have had a friend buy a ticket for ticket.
I’m extremely disappointed that I’m missing out on this signing again, two years in a row!
If anyone knows someone who bought a ticket and can’t make it please let me know, I will buy the ticket from them.
