Using an inflation calculator and the worldwide grosses of the entire franchise, this is what the adjusted figures look like for the franchise. Love it or hate it, Halloween Kills is a financial success and climbing.

I don’t understand why H2(81) is so low. It’s an awesome movie.

According to Box Office Mojo, if we are to believe their figures are correct, the worldwide gross in 1981 was $25M, which adjusts to $75M today. I believe it had a $2M budget in 1981, and made over ten times its money back, which was still a pretty big success at the time, but it just didn’t make the $70M worldwide that the 1st film did in 1978.
