I recently received this “2000 Don Post Studios / Paper Magic Group” mask from eBay for a great price. It has a 2003 copyright stamp under the chin, but I’m having trouble identifying this mask more specifically. The Kirk details are pretty outstanding, and truly seem to derive from a previous Don Post Kirk release. I’m having trouble finding any details on this mask. The more common 2003 tagged masks are hand sculpted, rather than this of Kirk origins, and are cheaply manufactured. They feature hole punched mouth vents. Mine is clearly a very different mask. There is something very authentic to me, about a Shape mask coming directly from Don Post. I’m pleasantly surprised and impressed. I also have two '85s on the way!

Here is another photo to emphasize how close the Kirk resemblance is. I have no doubt in my mind that this was sculpted from a previous Don Post Kirk mask. I still need help identifying what it is, if anyone has any details. It seems to surpass all of the 2003 masks I’m finding.
Whatever it is I think it looks great and if I had come across it on eBay I probably would have bought it myself. 
Love this mask. This is certainly from a different mold than the 2003 Don Post with the circular punched mouth holes. It could potentially be derivative of the original Kirk, third or fourth generation. Maybe a 1986 retool?
