Well I got my first Tramer mask to sacrifice… I’m happy with the results! Here is what I did step by step.
1: Put on some Misfits or Halloween type music. Pull out your favorite beverage and take the plunge! Take your TOTS H2 and use as a good reference for a haircut. I used tweezers and toenail clippers. First I brushed all the hair with my beard boar brush… I’ll probably have plenty of Tramer hair stuck to my beard for days to come.
2: RIT Dye Dark Brown with white vinegar mix heated up. Don’t heat up too much to where the glued hair will fall. Just keep it warm. About 10-15 min of agitation to mask.
3: Once dyed, rinse well with cold water and pat dry with towels. Looks wrong and light colored but since the Tramer is painted gray just go with it. Doesn’t contrast well.
4: Paint Prep- Tape off the whole hairline with plastic wrap and painters tape. Try to bundle it all up.
5: Paint- I used an Airbrush. I used acrylic paints. Mostly White and just a little dab of midnight(black). Once I got my paint the right color I added 50% liquid latex and maybe at most 1/2 teaspoon of windex to thin it all out how I wanted.
6: Once everything is dry remove hair covering. Tease the hair how you want. I suck at this part but referenced every pic online and tried to replicate. Once I got it to where its somewhat acceptable I used some strong hold hairspray to keep it all in place. Once dried snip the loose ends.
7: Completion: Hope this helps any DIY people out here. I’m happy with it and if you need any more detail or help let me know. I’m not an expert by no means but feel comfortable modifying as needed.
Killer job!!! Ive been trying to redo mine but for the life of me i cant get it right, or to where im happy with it. Ive must of redid mine 10 times by now.
