If that’s what I’m getting it’s gonna be send right back to where it came from. I’ll probably end up with one of those unlicensed, illegal, dirty indie masks

I just talked to SDCostumeGuy on instagram. He said he’s getting to use one today and tomorrow to promote the film at Comic-Con. He may take the stage or something…
I know I’ll probably get shit for saying this, “what do you expect? It’s mass produced?” “They can’t give everyone indie quality masks”, but I don’t think it looks close to the movie mask, or to the stock photo mask that they claimed was a production copy. I’ll still be ordering one, though. Given its ties to the MM.

I agree with you, and I think it’s the paintjob… I’m not sure though. Still looks too yellow to me. The picture of Nick Castle holding the mask that was shown recently makes the mask look very white
Edit: SDCostumeGuy said the mask is a little tight on him, giving it a stretch of sorts.

well who here thought it was going to play any differently? i tell you, some people here think they’ll be paying 60$ for a 200$-300$ quality mask. of course its not going to look like the hero from that nick castle pic. I still believe theres a great sculpt there hiding behind a mass-produced paint job. Of course its TOTS, the online picture is always going to look great to entice more people to buy it, call it false advertisement if you will but every company does it, even mcdonalds. we knew that from the start. Before i start talking trash i will wait until i have the actual mask in my hands and after i have watched the movie in theatres. The paintjob is far too intricate for TOTS to duplicate on a 60$ mask. i wouldnt have minded paying 100-120$ for a ‘‘collectors edition’’ or something but what are you gonna do?

You’re still getting the MOVIE MOLD, so it’s 100% the same mask used in the movie.
If this mask gets new hair and new paint, it will look SO much better. And remember, lighting and angles in pictures can make or break a mask.
You’re right though, it looks nothing like the advertised picture. And TOTS told us the final product would look like the ad, so they fucked up there. I never believed them though…
The more i look at it the more im in question too how good it will be when we get it

Could be that this mask is not meant for Castle Stretch’s or it will look like Sh*t In other words your head has too be just right too pull off the look Kinda like the KH/DW, right size and you got yourself a Badass Warlock look like right out of the movie. Notice when Zephro was wearing it how the mask look pretty damn good and not stretched out like in the SD-GUY pic Thank god im only a 23.5 size. 
Yeah im around that size as well. Anyways, even if the mask disappoints its only 60$ at the end of the day. Yeah, its a let down but at least we are getting a new halloween movie in a few months! Im sure with time there will be indie replicas left and right, its just a matter of time really.
