This reminds me of way back when everyone argued about the H1 and even H2 coverall colors.

ok so everyone that bought the 7 oz coveralls turns out arent screen accurate since its now revealed they are in fact 9.5 oz. I still have my doubts since whoever provided them with the coveralls could have easily bought the 9.5 oz instead of the 7 oz. Is there really a big difference between the two to the naked eye?

More TOTS Pic’s lol Were getting the pic’s we wanted
Thank you too SDCOSTUMEGUY for these awesome pic’s. Super great guy

SDCG said that the mask he had, had no stamp on the back

That’s -the- or one of several paint master/promos.
Perhaps the stamp is added when the master mould is copied into the production moulds.

The production line product won’t have a detailed paint job or carefully placed and styled hair. The underlying mould detail and form will vary from pull to pull too.

The promo TOTS Kirk looked dramatically different from the final article. Same with all TOTS masks.

So in other words our mask will not look this good

This is representative of my experience with TOTS masks:

I buy them basically to repaint and rehair. The 2018 will be no different.

That sounds familiar…

Yeap we been down this alley before. Hopefully it will not be that bad. God I hope not! But as long as the pull is good that will be great then. :myers:

None of my TOTS masks have any kind of logo/stamp on them. Just copyright laws and MADE IN MEXICO

No difference except weight. I haven’t seen both pairs in person, but I’m sure there’s not a huge difference

I think the mold will look similar, the paint will be worse

Mask looks atrocious. Needless to say: that’s what $60.00 gets you. My only issue with this whole thing is as follows:

(A) the attitude of the merchants comes across as slightly arrogant and rude. I one hundred percent agree that $60.00 for a mask made off the master mold is pretty much a steal. But the way I’m seeing this handled is a little upsetting. The other day, a post on the FB group was removed because it was a very negative review.

(B) People going around saying you can’t expect much of all you want to spend is $60.00. My only problem with this is the amount of energy and time being spent stopping indie artists from making these masks makes it very difficult to exert other options. I saw a video of an indie 2018 mask that was gorgeous, looked almost identical. But unfortunately, that video was taken off the feed of the FB.

I completely understand that TOTS put a lot of money into this lisencing. And I also get that they themselves have to answer to the studios at the end of the day. I personally feel, however, that indie artists are being attacked at this current moment.

Either way, this mask truly isn’t the greatest. But given their track record and attitude, I somewhat expected this. I hope everyone who purchased it gets their money’s worth and that they enjoy the finished product!

Damn, i knew there was something wrong. We got our hopes up for nothing but i had thought about it when the pics of the mask were looking great and now im pretty sure this is a promo mask they used with better hair and a better paintjob to “impress” people and get them hyped about it. The real mask that will be shipped to us wont look this good, willing to bet money on that.

Zephro has production copies, evidenced by that cell phone video he posted. All he has to do is take high quality images (natural, not studio) and let everyone see for themselves. I remember the year they first did H6, H20, and Res, there were several decently high quality outdoor pics when they received production copies and you could see exactly what you were going to receive. Weird they haven’t posted any for this one.

Zephro is scared that nobody will like it, that’s why we haven’t seen any yet…besides far off cell phone vid.

Its kind of sad to see people expressing negative feelings about a product they haven’t even received yet.

This is a TOTS mask. It’s not gonna look like James Carter painted it or put his own love into the hair.

To me, this mask is gonna be all about the mold. If the paint is crap, repaint it. If the hair is crap, pull it off and send it to Freddy Loper or something.

I’m getting this mask solely for the fact that its coming straight from the movie mold. As long as I get a good pull that isn’t bug-eyed or damaged, I’ll be happy.

That’s also my purpose…it’s coming from the mold! Im excited about it…

As for the hair looking out of shape and bad if it is then I will hair spray and gel the hell out of it and if that doesn’t work then off it goes and new put on.

This is what you’re gonna receive. It’s all about the mold in my opinion.

Let me clear something up for me, though-

I’m not complaining or upset that it won’t be indie quality for $60…
I’m upset that it won’t be what’s promised. Use stock photos of ACTUAL production copies. Not a specialized hand detailed copy and then lie about it being a “production copy”.

Not only that but the sketchiness of it all throws me off from wanting to buy, also. The deleting negative reviews, the lying about origins of products to fool the general public, the hostility of Chris, etc.

Yes, you’re 100% correct, and it’s totally unfair to customers. That’s something TOTS needs to work on. But on the other hand, none of their Myers mask have ever looked like the promotion pictures.

Also, what do you mean by “lying about the origins of products?” I haven’t heard anything about this, i think. I’d like to be informed
