It sucks we have too deal with this… 
This is my first mask from TOTS and I gotta say I’m getting a bad vibe from them instantly.
I get it they’re mass produced so not a lot of time is put into the painting which is going to make every one look different. However visiting their Facebook page their comments seem to be a little rude.
Also one guy replied to their most recent post of the 2018 mask saying that he is generally concerned about the looks. I replied to his comment saying the painting doesn’t really look like the one in the picture from pre-order. Our comments were deleted soon after.
Also they switched servers for their website which in return deleted some accounts, well mine was one of them. When I contacted them they just said “make a new one”. I can’t track my order or anything now, I guess I’ll just wait to see if I even get an email when it actually ships.
They are shooting them selves squarely in the foot. I’ve never seen such an arrogant, rude company.
That raised rectangle on the back of the neck? That’s the stamp.
I assumed that it was carved into the master mould. So the comment about this good-looking mask above not having one made me wonder if it’s actually added during duplication of the master.
I’m no expert on latex mask production, but I suspect there’s a generation loss of detail when the master mould is copied. So this promo 2018 is probably from the master. Same way the promo 75 Kirk had more detail than the production models.
The owner of TOTS said these masks don’t have any markings. They only have the removable neck tags.
I’ll be satisfied if my mask turns out as good as this one.

Not that it isn’t a TOTS, but that it isn’t a standard production paint and hair job I think

Yeah I saw him blowing up in the comments on a post about the Comic Con mask yesterday. Saying they’ll never post work in progress pics again because everyone overanalyzes them. My solution would be for him to stop interacting with the community on the level he does. Share stuff and then steer clear of the comments section like everyone with a brand learns to do. Otherwise it’ll drive you crazy and turn into an argument every time you come around.
What is making me doubt the sdcg mask is the actual mask we will be getting is TOTS reluctance to release a video or pics confirming this is the actual mask. Instead they are blowing up in the comments section on fb and arguing and deleting posts, etc. If they have nothing to hide then why cant they just release more pics? I still am keeping my hopes up but its not looking good so far…

Just my observation but, if you enlarge the pic of Nick Castle holding the new mask and this you’ll see detail loss. Zoom under the right eye it is very noticeable. Thats just one area. So if this is the movie mold they dropped the ball but I doubt it is.
