Hey man this one is made by Jimmy Falco from Spookhouse Props. He somehow 3D scanned a actual 75 Kirk. It is very impressive! He offers it in two sizes. Mine is 24.75 and that’s the smaller version
My JC conversion…
Yeah it’s a 1:1 of the “million dollar Kirk” which some people say was the same Kirk as the “hero.” It’s a great mask. Here’s some shots of mine also by JC.
An original Sean Clark '75 (Small) The one’s he used to sell back in the day in the Fangoria mag. That’s the mask the owner had told me was used that he forgot he had all these years. Spoke w/ him on FB.
The 3DK is a scan (and retool?) of a restored Sean Clark Small from the late 80s to early 90s.
The owner forgot he had it in storage, hired Jimmy to restore it, and then agreed to let Jimmy scan it and offer an enlarged version to the public.
This is taken from the owner’s Facebook:
“This my friends is “The Origin” of the 3DK mask done by Jimmy Falco of Spookhouse props.
The story has been told by me countless times.
If you have followed its history, then you understand its history and its past. It was produced in the late 1980s… a cast from a “75 kirk.” unfortunately its a non- wearable mask. After researching its history and having it stored in the mid-1990s, I decided to have it restored to its full potential in 2023. I had one guy in mind who stood out above all others. Jimmy Falco. An artist who got the “myers thing” down to a “T”
After days, if not weeks of
research, we decided to move forward to offer the mask to the public as “The 3DK”
As it goes the rest is history. This mask holds a very special place in my heart. Jimmy you know why!
Thank you for everything you have done to bring back memories and saving a great mask…but most of all thank you for being a amazing friend.”
These are the images he shared of his restored Sean Clark Small that was scanned to create the 3DK.
The 3DK is really versatile, and nails the stretched look really well. Users Collin Slippers and Caleb Croft have some really good examples of this.
This is why the 3DK in some areas looks really smoothed out and not as detailed as the original SC '75, imo. Because if was restored it may have been retooled slightly to give it back detail in some areas that the scan didn’t pick up. Very subtle ones to say the least, but overall it came out great
