This is the 3rd annual thread on what our members did and pics of costumes, decorations, or simply what you did this year. We learned a lot the past couple years from around the globe. Some countries just didn’t participate and in some states it just rained and froze grounding many trick or treaters in the past. As for us this year we went to Pasadena and walked all around the filming neighborhoods scouting out cool houses with decorations to go back to. As soon as it got dark the city just transformed into hundreds of people in costume all in the Halloween spirit going house to house! I’ve never seen a town so into neighborhood unity for trick or treaters I felt like I had gone to some wonkalike world where only Halloween exists
It was our best Halloween ever!
So what’d ya do guys?
Hung out in the yard with the RZ H2 on and scared the kids. Did a lot better than previous years for some reason, the kids used to be so desensitized, but I got a reaction out of everyone this time. It was cold and kind of off and on raining, so turn out wasn’t as much as usual. Had a great time though!
I scared quite a bit of people walking around my town, 3 adults called me freddy krueger, and a couple called me jason. But a cute little 5 year old said “hi michael”. Couldnt beleive barely any adults knew who i was, but a little 5 year old does. Lol. I had a blast with my friends scaring people. Unfortunately i didnt bring my camera so i have no pics
I dressed as Michael and stood in the yard turning my head staring at cars as they went by holding my knife ha ha. One lady that drove by just looked at me like she was creeped out as she drove past me ha ha. Only got one group of of trick or treaters though. Here’s a couple pics of me from last night…
In Madrid not too many trick or treaters, but plenty of adults dress up in the center. So I basically just went to the bars checking out the costumes! The good thing is a lot of young adults dress up scary. Even if the women want to look sexy it still has to be scary. Still it doesn’t compare to good old American Halloween celebrating.
I watch horror movies all month long.
Saturday: Watched H1.
Then I went to the Myers house which is about an hour from me. 4 hours in costume takes it out of you. Taking photos with people and walking around being creepy.
Had a beer and hung out for a bit after. Kip Weeks from the Strangers was there and they had some films on the big screen.
Then I went to a party and then I came home and watched H2.
Last night I just hung out and watched movies. Had to work in the morning haha
Well for us, first and foremost it’s all about the kids! We had to make a two night event, which didn’t hurt my feelings at all! Lol. Sunday we carved Jack o lanterns, and roasted pumpkin seeds, Monday we took them trick or treating around my in laws neighborhood, as I have no neighbors close lol. Then we took them downtown where I was FINALLY able to costume up, ultimately decided on the 75K H1 lol, had a few people come up and wanted pictures taken with Myers, then towards the end met a really cool dude all decked out as Jason, (really great costume), full hood and hock, we talked masks for a bit and had a couple pictures taken together with some folks, didn’t catch his name though as we were in a rush, if he’s a member on here and reads, give me a shout!! Anyway a GREAT HALLOWEEN WAS HAD FOR SURE!! My cam/phone died, so no pics but others got pics with us in costume and kids had a great time and that’s what it’s all about!! Cheers
I had a rely fun Halloween. Started off the day putting up the spider webs around the front walk, and then spent the rest of the day snacking on candy and watching Vincent Price horror flicks while dressed as Freddy Krueger. When evening rolled around, and the trick or treaters came out, I passed out the candy, which I love to do every year. I enjoy seeing the faces on the kids light up as I pass them a big handful of candy. After trick or treating hours ended at 7, the Chicago Bears vs Minneapolis Vikings. In a strange twist of fate only All’s Hallows Everfree could bring, the division bottom Bears shut out the division topping Vikings! So that was a wonderful treat.
Oh, and for some reason, this pic blew up my Instagram last night! 35 likes!
Though my personal favorite pic from yesterday was this one:
In all I was very happy with my Halloween, especially considering what a crappy day it’s been for my area in the past couple of years.
Those are 2 excellent shots Davy!
My Halloween this year was a bit of a bust. The hurricane a few weeks back took out most of the street lights on my street, and most of the people didn’t decorate, so it looked pretty uninviting. We generally don’t get many trick or treaters in the first place, but this year we got one at roughly 5pm. I stood out in the front yard for a while just in case, but no one even came down the street from what I could tell. I was tempted to drive to a more busy neighborhood and walk around a bit but I felt like it would be kind of weird for me to walk around by myself; I’m kind of regretting not doing that now. I ended up spending the rest of the night watching the second go-around of the AMC halloween marathon. I’m thinking of going to a more populated neighborhood, or maybe even a more populated city, next year. I’m also going to scout around for haunted houses/ attractions and see if they’ll let me be a part of it.
Thank you, my friend!
2 parties, 3 costumes, and plenty of shenanigans
I had to work…2:30pm to 11:00pm…went home watched Halloween on bluray and ate a little candy…kind of a bust this year guys.
I passed out candy last night. I decided to wear the hobo costume. Had a lot of the kids to scared to come up to the house lol. This was the first Halloween in years that it didn’t rain which was pretty nice.
great idea! Don’t miss out I say! we drove 45 miles to Pasadena to trick or treat and it was our best Halloween ever
Man I love that hobo getup! always love to see that! Best RZ on the board imo
