PHOTOBUCKET had deleted all the photos I posted when the site went haywire So I wanted to repost this from back in the day for any of the newer members who never got a chance to see it can see HADDONFIELD in all its glory . By the way⌠that CGP FEAR was the very first mask I ever bought from a member here named JackCapers. I sold it years ago and wish I still had it since it was my first.
Below is the original post from 2009:
Well today my wife an I made the pilgrimage to HADDONFIELD It was a fun day of picture taking. We saw some good locations. Not all of them but some memorable ones. The MYERS home was cool. LYNDA and ANNIES houses. The STRODE home. And my FAVORITE âThe Hedgeâ. I spoke to the owner who was super nice and said feel free to take all the pics you like and she said I could even take a few pieces of " The Hedge" home with me. Also saw NICHOLS HARDWARE and some others you will remember. Enjoy the pics:
An interesting side note about " The Hedge" A few of the clipping are in water in our kitchen and with a little luck will sprout roots and grow into a âHEDGEâ of my own
The MYERS HOME:
Me standing on the MYERS porch with a shit eating grin on my face :
âThe Hedgeâ In costume with my âFEARâ : Hey who planted those FLOWERS in front of our âHEDGEâ
Me peaking out from behind âThe Hedgeâ
Michaelâs view from behind " The Hedge"
The STRODE house:
The pillar Laurie sat on holding a pumpkin while waiting for Annie to pick her up:
Close up:
Annieâs House:
Lyndaâs House:
Good old NICHOLS HARDWARE:
NOTE: The Doyle and Wallace homes were NOT located in Pasadena but rather in Hollywood.
Tommy Doyleâs house: The balcony that Michael fell off of after LOOMIS shot him 6 times: Notice that the house has had some remodeling done and there are no doors to the balcony anymore. Hey , I think I can still see Michaels body impression in that grass
The WALLACE home: This house had the most remodeling done. Where the carport was they built a garage. WOW Remember when Michael walked out from that carport with ANNIEâS body in his arms and proceeded to the front porch and then through the front door. That scene still creeps me out everytime I see it
After 30 long years, I wouldnât even remember have those houses after all the remodeling! Atleast they didnât do nothing to the Myers house except the fact that they moved it, but, wouldnât it be so cool if they left it in with the other houses? I think that would be cool.
Good picture man! You know, for a form that is all about Myers, we rarly see any location shots, you should of took some pictures of some of the locations from the Remake too.
Beautiful shots Mike! I can never, ever get enough of the location pics!!! Thanks man!
Now I will pop H1 into the player and finish the night that way. Man, something about the original HalloweeN is almost magical to this ole country boy!
Thats what I was thinking too. If you watch the special features on 25 Years of Terror there is a segment with PJ SOLES where there are looking at some of the houses the DOYLE house included and they talk about how remodeling has really changed the look of some of the houses. Go figure
Ahh it would have been no bother at all!! That pic of Mikes view you haveâŚThat first street there is the street in the opening scene after mike takes off in the carâŚThats where the âHaddonfieldâ title comes up. Next time you come out let me know!
Iâm not entirely sure there was ever a door or doorway onto that balcony. Take a close look at the end of Halloween. Itâs clear he is falling out of a back window into the backyard.
Now watch Halloween II carefully. They remodeled that balcony to make it look as though Michael had fallen out of the FRONT yard doorway. Iâm pretty sure itâs simply âMovie Magicâ guys. Also, there is a ramp that Warlock moves up, and simply âfallsâ off the balcony, without going over the railing.
Sweet pics, dude! I really need to make it down to Pasedena somedayâŚonly a 30 minute flight from where I live. Still kicking myself for missing the 30th anniversary con.
