Layers of permablood. Used a bunch of different techniques. That knife is looking good. You are on the right track already. Probably gunna have to clear coat my knives they are just a little bit tacky still .
Love that severed foot budâŚthats awesome.
Thanks dude . It turned out pretty good considering i had to go over the old paint job pretty heavy to make it it look convincing.
No worriesâlayers of paint on a subject make it better!
Any idea what i could use to clear coat the blood thats not spray paint? Id need to paint.it on i dont want the actual skin of the foot glossy permablood is still tacky .
Either rustoleum clear matte or plastidip clear should be good.
Wont both of those matte the blood though? I was thinking something i could paint on with a brush.
Nah, dude, I havenât had any problems yet. For indoor stuff that wonât face rain or anything, Iâve tried Mog-Pog. Just a heads up, it can dry with some variations and a bit of hazing.
It doesnt affect the gloss at all?
Hey what can i use to get at least the stupid hairline off, its on there good like so much that i might take the paint job off and its onl6 coming off in the tiniest pieces , and the way this mask is haired is a mess they covered the whole with glue and slapped it on. Ive read coconut oil works.
Just let each layer dry before moving on, and they should turn out great. I always try a small spot first to be on the safe side.
Sure, you can use some coconut oil, even hair conditioner if you want. If itâs really tough to get off, just grab some citrus stripâ that stuff will get it down to the bone!
Ok by to the bone you mean take off the the paint job undrneath ? I dont want to mess that layer up.
It will, so proceed with caution. Try goof-off first!
Slipped up on my 78 mask. Is there anyway to fix too big eyeholes with just liquid latex ?
Did have some success with props though on a positve note. Ill probably do a few more touchups but i think im almost there.
The props are looking awesome! If you need to fix those eye holes, grab some liquid latexâitâs the way to go. And if youâve got duct tape lying around, thatâs even better! Just slather on the liquid latex around the eye hole that needs help and let it dry in between coats. It takes a little patience, but itâll definitely be worth it! If youâre using duct tape, start with that as your base and then work the liquid latex over it. You can cut the duct tape to the shape you want for the eye holes, and just overlap it on the mask if you need to add more material. Good luck with the repairs!
Much appreciated brother.
Sure thing! Iâm always down to help. Iâm about to post a pic on one of the other threads, so definitely go take a look. I bet youâll really like it!
That knife is looking greatâŚvery weathered. Good stuff.
So im reading up on coconut oil and it says it can damage latex. Just want this hairline off.
