Do you guys think it would be cool to have an accurate Myers mask but make it out of silicone instead of latex were you could be expressionless or you can grimes or open your mouth if you wanted to. What do you think?
…NO.
Besides the hairline & eyes, it wouldn’t look much like Myers as it would conform to the persons face with it being silicone & really snug. It’s able to look pretty creepy with it being white with no definitive expression, sure. But look like, Myers? I don’t think so.
Each one would have to have the interior molded to the owners face and the exterior to a kirk. It would cost a fortune, and I don’t think you’d ever get it to look right.
If that’s the case how come all the amazing Freddy silicone masks make everyone look like Englund?
I think it could be more than possible if done well…
sorry but this just wouldnt work… it would never look right.
Silicone masks are made so it looks like you don’t have a mask on. And then we have Myers, the whole point is that he is wearing a mask. So if you can figure out how to make a silicone mask look like a latex mask, you will have a winner !
My suggestion is to make your silicone mask out of latex
Why change perfection ?

Although the premise here is correct, we’re not talking about the same things.
Freddy masks aren’t made to look like masks. They’re made to look like a person with makeup on. They give the wearer some typical attributes that are Englund-like (larger nose, higher cheekbones, shape of orbital sockets, lips) and add the burns and its mostly there, but the overall shape of the face is that of the wearer(although not too noticable when you look at the above listed features). In the case of Myers masks, We want the overall shape of the mask to match the screen exactly. if it doesn’t, an H1 mask on the wrong face is an H2, and vice-versa. And silicone masks are typically VERY thick to allow for all those features to match. This isn’t a problem since they had to goop on Roberts makeup thick to get those deep bums, and so a silicone mask can be made to work. The original Kirks used in Halloween were very thin. If you were to have one made, in order for it to not fall apart and for it to have those features, it would have to be so thick it would look very large on your head, and therefore not accurate.
I’m sure it’s doable, but like I said; it would be expensive. And less accurate than its less expensive latex counterpart.
Well put Chan.
It would be creepy, yes, but Myers? I say no. Why not just save yourself $400 and just put on a wig and paint your face?
Thanks.
That’s not to say it can’t be done. -Just not in an efficient way. If someone wants to spend a grand on a mask and it look “sort of” like the hero, that’s their business. I don’t mean to offend anyone, I simply want to convey to the OP the issues with such a request.
I totally get it. And once again, well put Chan. There would be alot involved in that process. Probably face casting, right?
Why go to all that trouble to make it look like a latex mask ?..It would be like changing toilet-paper, although I would like to know how they used those 3 sea-shells in Demolition Man. …

Changing toilet paper is way more significant. -and awful. Too many bad TPs out there.
Hmmmm how about a Silicone Castle or Warlock for underneath? For the ultra collector. haha
I guess the other way to make a Silicone Kirk, is to make an overiszed Pull to avoid the form fitting nature. Don’t see a point though… Would the only positive be silicone lasting longer then latex (does it last longer?)?
