A few mid afternoon thoughts...

I just wanted to say I think it’s incredible how everyone perceives what they see as a “grail” mask differently. I think that is one of the beauties of this hobby. It allows room for creativity and gives us a range of options to pick from when it comes to these masks.

When I first saw Halloween I must have been 5 or 6 years old (this was mid-to-late 90s). It was a VHS tape that my dad had owned. As a child I was both terrified and transfixed by the ghostly white face against a backdrop of a shadowy Haddonfield neighborhood. As I’ve grown older it has remained one of my favorite films of all time. Whatever is happening in that film on the subconscious level is still mystifying and intriguing to me.

Even though I still consider myself new to this hobby, I am amazed at the level of artistry and professionalism offered by the mask makers in this community, as well as the hospitality from the other members, all stemming from that love of the films and the character of Michael Myers. So cheers to everyone on here. I am happy to be a part of it all. I only wish I had stumbled upon this site sooner!

Happy to be apart of this great community also. My friends and the majority of people I know don’t really like horror movies. Some think it’s strange that I collect masks and such. It’s so great to be able to communicate and interact with so many like minded people with this hobby and I am extremely thankful for that.
