SO I took a blank and painted and weathered it and left it out side for over 3 months, and took a picture of it every day just to see ho it rots and much to my surprise this mask is just built ford tough.It went through many severe thunder storms, was frozen snowed and rained on, heated to over 80 degrees with high humidity and nothing if anything it weathered it more and now looks even more menacing.

That’s pretty cool. I’ve always wondered what natural weathering would look like. I like the cracking paint on the forehead…yep, that mask definitely looks like it’s been through many killing sprees.

It was fun experiment to try, all of the H9 - 10 trying to replicate what a rotting mask looks like we lets watch one really rot, was my theory, I will keep it going.

alot of masks take longer than 3 mos. to show signs of aging…the ones i use in my outside halloween diplay can for 3-5 years before age sets in.

the paint usually hold up well. The first thing you notice is the latex starts to loose its elastisity…then gets brittle and cracks.

A very cool idea indeed, i just thought about progression pics with a camera shooting the mask daily in the same place and then kinda animating them by flipping them at a high rate, that would be awesome as well. Thanks for the cool video.
