Hi, guys. I’m rehairing a TOTS mask right now (not this one) and I’m curious how many rows of hair does a high grade mask have? I’ve only held TOTS masks in person and know they have inches of dead space between the hair rows which causes bald spots. It got me wondering what a professional mask looks like underneath the hair. Are the hair rows spaced out maybe every inch or half inch apart?
Any insight would be much appreciated.
I found this pic online and thought it would be a good example of what I’m talking about.

This is how many a real kirk has

Wow that is an awesome but also very sad picture
75 Kirk’s have 5 rows of hair.

Heres a video inside Don Post studios back in the day when they were making the 80’s version “The Mask”
If you skit to 48:41 in the video, they show the hairing process, Its just rubber cement and crepe hair
Thanks very much for the replies, everyone. I suppose my previous rehaul had an extra row of hair in the back half of the head but was otherwise the same as the Kirk pic. Love that Don Post video. She haired him so quickly
That lady knows what the hell she’s doing.
It’s beyond impressive. Wow.
Much skill on display in that video!
