Who else that went to Texas Frightmare Weekend this year thought it was way too crowded? I mean I basically had to stand in line to move down the isles. Who else felt this way? I know John Carpenter and George Romero were there at the same time but I’m actually surprise the fire department didn’t come in and shut it down. They even kept letting in and kept letting in people who were buying tickets at the door. I don’t know it just seems to me that the place wasn’t big enough for all those people at the same time. Everyone brought like fifteen million things for John Carpenter to sign and George Romero as well. Not to mention George Romero was by one of the main doors causing the line to lead outside basically. The whole time John Carpenter and George Romero’s lines never shorten or let up leading to big “traffic jams” all weekend. And then add the lines for everyone else that was there plus all the people they were letting in with no regard for capacity on top of it all. This is my third TFW to go to and I have never seen it like this. It was enough to make me go on a murder spree.
That’s pretty much how all the conventions are here in Los Angeles too. If you want a signed item you just gotta put up with all the overcrowding. Not much you can do about it. Mike
I wasn’t there on saturday so I don’t really know how bad it was, but I did go today and it wasn’t too bad at all. About a 10 minute wait to see Romero and most people couldn’t find where Carpenter was located so not too many people in line for him. I posted a topic with all the awesome pics I got. Such a blast!
i heard the horror cons are getting bigger and bigger.they did call the fire dept up at hh in indy…tommy
